We all know I love me some Asian makeup products so you can understand what level of heaven I was in when I visited Japan over the summer time. But as per usual when I visit different countries and I don’t have a set wishlist: I struggle finding what to buy. I want everything, but can only buy so much (due to space and budget), but I am very happy that I decided to take home the Fwee Glitz Stone highlighter. This has been a cool toned beauty. Here is my review.

So I spotted this in a display in Loft (highly recommend them for lots of shopping if you are in Japan, it’s better than many other places I found, not just for makeup and skincare) and it seemed to be promoted as a new in product. The testers were a bit picked over, but there are 12 shades and they all seem to coincide with your birthmonth. I ignored that and went with the shade that seemed most unique to me: HL12 Merry Aurora.
Review: Fwee Glitz Stone highlighter HL12 Merry Aurora
I was able to find this quickly on the Yesstyle website to though, so you have regular access to this product even if you are not in Asia. At €18 it may seem pricey, but it is currently in the Yesstyle Black Friday sale for less than €10. What an absolute steal that is! And you can use my code FLOATDREAM23 to get 5% off your entire order (and I could get a small commission).
What does this highlighter have to offer?

The Fwee Glitz Stone highlighters not only come in different shade but also in different textures. Merry Aurora is listed as being one of the more glittery offerings. Where I usually don’t enjoy glittery highlighters this ended up being very successful for me. The formula is smooth and easy to apply. It lasts well throughout the day and none of the sparkles migrate across the face and the beautiful blue/ lilac shade is absolutely to die for.
What does this look like in a swatch?

On the back of my hand you can see why I love this. It’s one of those: what color is this kind of highlighters but without it being a multichrome. This is intense as you can see, with glittery bits of silver sparkle running through. The base may seem very intense and white but that changes when you apply it with a brush. The reflect is what gets me every time: a bluey lilac that adds a beautiful glow to the face.
What does this look like on the cheeks?

Alas another failed attempt and capturing a highlighter on my face in natural daylight. But you can see this beauty on my face in plenty of videos that went live this week. In fact, I am wearing it in every single video that I will be posted this week, so if you want to see it in action all you need to do is watch some more of my content.
Should you buy the Fwee Glitz Stone highlighter?

When I bought this I was a bit unsure about it at first. It looked pretty in the store, but wasn’t convinced it would suit me. Then I ended up pairing it with the beautiful cool toned blushes that are currently in my shop my stash and I was sold. Just goes to show that you need to give a product a bit more of a test to fully appreciate it. Get it if you are looking for one of the best cool toned highlighters of your life, but without it looking weird on.
Pros:
- Unique shade
- Intense formula
- Beautiful sparkle
Cons:
- Pricey at full price
- May be difficult to find
- Could leave a grey cast on deeper skin
