Fall/Winter lookbook (#8): Turning leaves

The leaves are almost gone from the trees, yet this outfit is definitely inspired by those lovely colors of turning leaves. This dress has the perfect colors for autumn. I bought it last year during one of my first purchases on Asos and I’m still loving it. It’s by a brand called Band of Gypsies and even though it was a little big on, I managed to make it. First of all, I sewed part of the dress so it would fit more nicely and with a belt to singe in the waist a bit more, this dress is perfect for fall. I kept the rest quite monotone to really make sure the dress pops out mostly.

Full outfit

What I’m wearing:

– multicolor dress: Asos/ Band of Gypsies

– brown long sleeve shirt: Only

– brown tights: HEMA

– brown brogues with heel: Van Haren

– gold bracelet: Primark

– earrings: Forever 21

What is not to love about this dress? The colors are bang on, the length is just right and it’s flattering. I noticed now though that my belt is on a little crooked in some of these pictures. Oh well, can’t have everything right?

And I am actually wearing this outfit to work today! What are you wearing right now?

  1. […] Finally, two dresses that are anything but standard. I found this tartan print dress at Topshop in London last year and I’ve worn it quite a bit. It is made of a fairly heavy cotton blend so it’s super easy to wear and nice and warm too. I also wore it in one of my more recent lookbook posts. The final dress I tend to wear with browns and a tan belt. It is made of a super flowly material, but is actually made with several layers of fabric. That causes this to be one of the warmest dresses I own. And it’s got pockets: who doesn’t love pockets right? Again I styled this up a while ago. […]
