On Monday I showed you the Urban Decay Vice 2 palette. I thought it would be nice to demonstrate the versatility of this eyeshadow palette by showing you a few looks that I’ve created using the shadows in this palette. Apart from the two pink shades (Coax & X-rated) and the darker purple (Voodoo) I managed to use each shade in this palette at least once. I did use X-rated in a look which I posted earlier, so you can check that out here. As for the rest: I tried to make a colorful, smokey, dark and neutral eyelook using this palette.
1.) Colorful
To achieve this look I used the following:
- Betrayal on the inner half of my lid
- Prank on the outer half
- Madness on the outer half of my lower lashline
- Damaged on the inner half of my lower lashline
- Dope in the inner corner
- Rewind in the crease
- Habit on the browbone
2.) Smokey
To achieve this look I used the following:
- Shellshock all over lid
- Dope in the inner corner
- Derailed in the crease
- Poison in the outer V
- Smoke out along the upper lashline
- Damaged on lower lashline (and Zoeva eye pencil in Good Karma)
- Habit on browbone
3.) Dark
To achieve this look I used the following:
- Stash all over lid
- Strike in the inner corner
- Ambush in the crease
- Radar in the outer V & outer part lower lashline
- Lovesick along the upper lashline
- Toxic on the inner half of the lower lashline
- Habit on the browbone
4.) Neutral
To achieve this look I used the following:
- Toxic all over lid
- Habit in the crease
- Dope on the browbone
- MAC’s Dipdown gel eyeliner
In all these looks I’m wearing L’Oreal Butterfly Effect mascara on my lashes. As you can see you can go crazy by mixing colors, or go for something super simple and easy with a bit of liner. I ended up loving every shade which I thought I’d love (Stash and Shellshock for instance) but also discovered more favorites in this palette. Toxic is a gorgeous neutral tone for that ‘my lid but better look’ and Damaged is a gorgeous emerald pop of color in anything that would otherwise be too dark or too boring. Of these looks I think the first two are my favorites.
Which look is your favorite?
