Fall has officially started so it’s time to roll out some seasonal posts. The first one is this fall inspired look. Golds and purples are combined with soft neutrals to create a wearable yet slightly more dramatic look. I like these type of looks for fall. I always feel that more dramatic eye looks go perfectly with the somewhat colder months. Where in spring and summer I tend to keep things simple, fall and winter is the time where I go all out.
The main star of this look is the Sleek Vintage Romance I-Divine palette. I used a mix of both drugstore and high end products. Now that I’m back at work, I tend to do my make up again on an almost daily basis and now I understand again why I have so much make up: I can pick up a different palette every day and not be bored. I hadn’t reached for any of my Sleek palettes in a while and when I took one good look at them I knew instantly the look I wanted to create with this palette.
Golds and purples are great for fall. To keep things interesting and not make the look too harsh I went with purple rather than black eyeliner. I also thought this detail tied in the look nicely while making sure it doesn’t get too sickly looking. I pulled the shadows into an outward shape. By pulling the shadow outwards, I changed the shape of my eyes ever so slightly, making this look more sultry looking. Because the eyes are quite dramatic I made sure to go very neutral on the cheeks and lips. I used my new Estee Lauder Color Envy lipstick in Impulsive. It may just be my new favorite neutral lipstick.

[…] It took me ages to get this blush. It was on my wishlist for a long time and ever since I’ve had this one, Dandelion by Benefit (featured in the old post) had been pretty much replaced by this. It is well pigmented and leaves a gorgeous dusty rose color on your cheeks. I also love that this is a matte, which means it is easily combined with different highlighters. It is versatile and again you need a light hand applying this. Luckily this color is a bit more natural looking so if you apply too much it isn’t too much of a big deal. Not the cheapest though. I think I paid close to the 25 euro mark for this. See it on my cheeks here. […]
[…] One of my latest and most favorite Sleek I-Divine acquisitions is the Vintage Romance palette. This features some stunning golds and cranberry/ purple shades. This is an awesome palette for the fall and the holidays. It is one of my most most glamorous eye shadow palettes and it is great for creating darker, smokier looks as well as classic glam looks. I used it to create a make up look last year. […]
