NOTD: glammed up peach

A quicky nail post after this morning’s musical extravaganza. One of my favorite ways of wearing glitters lately is by using a pastel or fairly neutral base color and to layer the glitter over that. This is one of my favorite combinations so far.

Products used:

  • L’Oreal Miracle Repair 7 base coat for damaged nails
  • L’Oreal Color Riche 856 Peach Negligé
  • Essence Effect nail polish 03 Glitz & Glam
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat

What makes this combination work is the special sheen that is part of the glitter top coat by Essence. At first glance, Glitz & Glam looks like your average glitter topcoat with pink and gold glitter. But when help at a certain angle, there is a bit of a green tinge to it.

This is one combination that has me looking at my nails over and over again. Plus the combination is easy and simple. Yet, it’s kept classy as the glitters aren’t too chunk or overpowering. This is a great way to wear glitter if you’re not a big fan, or if you’d like to give it a go to see if you like it. I ‘m not sure whether Glitz & Glam is still available as it was one of the more special polishes in the Special Effects line by Essence, and they switch those out quite regularly.

What’s your favorite way to wear glitter?
