Instanails #1

Today I thought I’d try something new. Not all of my nail looks end up on here. I often don’t have time to make sure I do a proper nail photo shoot. Or I simply forget or I don’t find the combination interesting enough to share on here. Whatever it is, I sometimes still end up taking a shot of my nails some time in the day. And that pic usually ends up on Instagram. I thought I’d gather a few of my favorite nail looks from Instagram and post them here. Let me know in a comment if you like this idea.

For New Year’s eve, I decided to try something new: a gradient glitter. This is Essie After School Boy Blazer with Catrice Million Dollar Baby on top.

My Christmas nails were glittery but simple. This is OPI All Sparkly and Gold from the 2013 Mariah Carey Christmas collection.

I wore this look over summer. This neon green polish is by Formula X (available from Sephora) and is called Radioactive.

From high end to budget looks. This very soft and neutral look with a touch of holographic glitter is Catrice iROSEdescent from a limited edition collection released in 2014 and German drugstore brand P2 Sweet Elegance.

Essence Hello Rosy is one of my favorite liquid sand type polishes. I love liquid sand type polishes by the way as I like a bit of texture on the nail.

Finally another Essence polish that I picked up when their make up line did its seasonal changeover (which is shortly coming up again). This is called Heart Explosion and has a ‘sparkling sugar’ finish. And it does look like there are little lumps of sugar grains suspended in this polish. Not too sure how I feel about it.

My favorite of these? The Essie & gradient glitter one! I love the navy blue with glitter combo. That is something I should be doing more often.

Which is your favorite?

  1. […] Essie After School Boy Blazer – After School Boy Blazer is the perfect midnight blue. I lover wearing this in the winter time, topped with gold or silver glitters. It is a perfect shade to make glitters stand out more and winter time is THE time to wear a glitter polish. So again, a perfect winter nail polish shade. […]
