Because I was aching to show you the Urban Decay Vice 4 palette in all its glorious action, I decided to cut to the chase and rather than give you a full review, I chose to make a Get Ready With Me video instead. Full reviews take some time and I first want to play around with the colors some more before I feel comfortable posting a review. But in the mean time I just cannot deprive you of the prettiness that is of course. So here it goes!
For this make up look I decided to use all colors except for on my brow bone. Since I don’t have the most space between my lid and brow, I feel that putting color that far up, only closes in my eyes. But the brow bone highlight is truly all that is neutral in this look. I decided to keep the video short and to the point, while not skipping any steps and giving a few short instructions along the way. This was only my second time using this palette, so I am taking you along on a journey of discovery as well as applying my make up.
I was very pleased with the overall look that I came up with. The shadows are super vibrant and I applied these over a primer, which I find works well for sticking down shadows, but not necessarily intensifies the color pay off. My goal was to show you that even with a buttload of color in a single look, you can pull it off on a regular day. I would wear this to work and I actually wore this look out running errands and going to an appointment at my gym. I like how the green and purple make a great combination that truly make my eyes pop.
Since the rest of the face is very neutral, I feel that the eyes truly are the stand out part of this look. The face combo of bronzer, contour, highlight and blush has been all I have been wearing these past few days. The way of application is pretty much identical to the current contour & highlight routine I posted last September. […] I also purchased the Urban Decay Vice 4 palette. I now own all 4 of them. I don’t own the Limited Edition one (the neon yellow version) but since that overlapped a lot with no 1 and 2, I didn’t see why I would need that. Not that I needed this, but it again has some stunning shades that I think are amazing. I created a look with it, which I filmed and went online last week. […]
