Week in outfits #2

Lately I have found that making lookbooks are too time consuming, yet I still want to show you what I wear from time to time. That is why I decided to take pictures of every single outfit I wore throughout one single week. It’s been a while since I last did that and I think it makes for a good way of still showing you what I wear and that way you will also get an idea of what I wear on the daily. Last week was a normal week for me: I worked, ran errands, got some workouts in and had a lazy Sunday. Here’s what I wore!

7 outfits for 7 days

When you look at these different outfits, then I feel they all look quite similar. I don’t really have one style though: I tend to wear a variety of outfits, that all work around the same premise. I like a casual comfy look, with a hint of preppiness, girly touches, while maintaining a certain edge. I apologize for the ‘mirror’ pictures, but that is the only thing I have time for before heading out the door. I hope you still get a good enough idea of what I wore.

Monday, 25 January 2016

On Mondays I of course head out for work. For this first day after the weekend, I decided to go with a faux leather skirt (Forever 21), a red cardigan (Urban Outfitters) and a grey t-shirt (Monki). I featured the skirt & shirt in my most recent fashion haul. The shoes I am wearing in this picture are my Dr. Marten’s, but that’s not the pair I wore at work. What I usually do when I feel an outfit calls for heels, is that I will wear a comfy pair of shoes to get to work and change my shoes once I am there. The shoes I wore at work are the black booties I am wearing in the fourth outfit in this fall 2015 lookbook.

Tuesday, 26 January 2016

For Tuesday I had to wear something comfortable as I wouldn’t do my usual workday. We were having an Education Day and I spent the afternoon attending presentations and a backstage tour of a large theater in The Hague. I decided on wearing a floral dress that I once bought for 7 euros during a sale at C&A. The burgundy cardigan is from Zara. To match that burgundy shade and not be too overpowering, I wore my burgundy brogues by Bronx. The black tights I always wear during winter time are from Primark.

Wednesday, 27 January 2016

Wednesday was a regular day. Wednesday’s are usually nice and quiet as many colleagues have a day off, which is why it is one of the days on which I get most work done. I developed a course during the morning and met with some students. I wore a navy floral blouse from Urban Outfitters and layered a grey marled cardigan also from UO on top as the blouse has short sleeves. I wore it with my Topshop Jamie jeans in a standard denim blue color and my brown Asos Chelsea boots.

Thursday, 28 January 2016

I work 4 days a week and Thursday’s is my day off. So I wore my hair up and no make up. I just had to run some errands: I picked up some things I needed from the drugstore, went to the pharmacy to pick up some meds and bought some books from the bookstore. I wore the same jeans as the day before, but quickly exchanged them for my PJ bottoms once I was home. The sweater I am wearing is a super comfy and soft oversized sweater (it’s more like a dress) from Monki. The shoes are Nike Internationals. This is one of those typical outfits I just throw on.

Friday, 29 January 2016

Final work day of the week! Since I hadn’t felt the need to throw my outfit in the wash just yet, this outfit is very similar to Wednesday’s. I swapped the blouse for a black v-neck T-shirt from Forever 21, but kept the Urban Outfitters cardigand and denim Jamie jeans from Topshop. I did change up the shoes however. I felt this black pair of H&M Chelsea boots with a slight heel would go much better with the rest of this outfit. Funny how much the color of your shirt can change the need for a certain shoe.

Saturday, 30 January 2016

I work out several times a week, but it’s the first thing I do on Saturdays. Well after buying my weekly groceries that is! I always change at home as my gym is just a 5 minute walk from my house. I was slated to do a BodyCombat class and this is a typical outfit I would wear to that class. All clothing is from H&M, but some of it I have had for some time. The shoes are by Aesics and I bought them purposely for the class as my old Reebok’s weren’t strong enough once I got to the jumpy parts of the class. Unfortunately, once I arrived at the gym, the class had been cancelled without my knowledge. I went back to the gym on Sunday and attended a Zumba/ Bodyjam/ dance class instead.

Sunday, 31 January 2016

Once I got back from the gym on Sunday, I immediately changed in my super chill outfit. When I am at home and I don’t have anywhere to go, I just wear PJ bottoms and a comfy t-shirt or sweater. Here you see that same Monki sweater again that I wore on Thursday. I keep a few sweaters just for wearing around the house as they are too baggy/ unflattering for work. This is one of them and you can tell I love this thing to death right? The PJ bottoms feature a cassette tape print (how apt!) and are from Primark.

Let me know in a comment below which outfit was your favorite!
Mine is Wednesday’s jeans/ blouse/ cardigan combo.
