5x jeans & t-shirt combos

As a teenager, jeans & t-shirt were my uniform. I refused to wear anything else. For years it stuck with me, but as I got older, dresses, skirts and trousers made it into my fashion arsenal. Occasionally I will still pull out this classic combo of course. It is simply too comfortable to give up. This post is all about my favorite jeans & t-shirt combinations.

A striped tee is a no brainer any day of the week. Here I paired it with a baggier pair of jeans. These jeans are the Topshop Binx jeans and they fit rather like Mom jeans. That is why I opted for a fitted striped top, as baggy on baggy isn’t the best of looks. I decided to add in my busted up, super old and probably read for the bin, Converse All Stars. I simply love these shoes to death. They are nearly falling apart, but I still wear them from time to time.

Black jeans are a very safe bet if you cannot find your perfect wash of denim blue. These are the black Topshop Jamie jeans. They are highwaisted, which makes them fit nicely and they are stretchy but still very much like a pair of jeans. That a jeans & t-shirt combo doesn’t immediately mean casual, can be seen from this outfit. By pairing a blazer on top with a t-shirt underneath you instantly get a dressier vibe.

Super highwaisted jeans are another good staple to have. These are the Topshop Joni jeans in a dark acid wash. I love these as they are super stretchy and fit like a glove. These jeans are soft and whenever I wear these it’s not even like I am wearing jeans at all, as they feel more like leggings. As the jeans are quite the statement due to the acid wash look, I kept the shirt and shoes simple. Just a simple grey t-shirt with a bit of added detail and some grey Nikes.

Baggy t-shirts are also good to own. I love this boxy shape as it makes for a very casual, loose fit. It just makes for an overall relaxed outfit and together with a light wash denim, it’s perfect for spring. My Topshop Leigh jeans are perfect for that as they are the perfect denim blue for spring/ summer. I added a statement necklace for a bit more oomph, but kept the shoes quite simple again. These leather booties I picked up in the H&M sale last year I believe and they are super comfortable.

The final combination is my favorite. I don’t own many printed t-shirts anymore, as I tend to stick to basics mostly these days. However, I couldn’t say no to this stunning palm tree print cropped t-shirt when I saw it. The colors are perfect and it has just the right amount of palm tree (yes, that’s one reason why I bought this). I love this most paired with a grey pair of ripped Topshop Jamie jeans. Finished off with my Desert Boots, this is one of my favorite outfits to wear as the weather starts to warm up.
