Doing my nails has been on the back burner a bit, but that doesn’t mean that I do not still appreciate a good polish. And with summer just around the corner, a seriously neon bright nail polish is a good one to have in your collection. China Glaze’s Pool Party is quite possibly one of the brightest polishes in my collection and certainly capable of satisfying that neon bright nail polish fix.
China Glaze – Pool Party
Pool Party is a bright neon color. It is not exactly neon orange and not exactly neon pink: it falls right in the middle and is more like a neon coral pink with an orange undertone if that makes sense. Against my skin it does pull more orange than pink, but in the bottle there is certainly a hint of pink. The texture of this polish is consistent with China Glaze as a brand. It is not too thick and not too thin. The brush makes it easy to apply and with a top coat this polish will last 3 – 5 days.
This nail polish is so seriously bright that my camera has a hard time focusing on it and picking up the color. Trust me, the polish above is not matte in any sense. In fact, I always wear a glossy top coat (Sally Hansen Insta-Dri) so this is super duper shiny. It’s just that this color is such a full on neon that my camera just couldn’t decide what to do with it.
My favorite time of year for wearing such bright colors has to be summer. And I know, it’s not summer yet, but I thought I’d give you a heads up on this stunning shade so you can get your hands on it before summer hits. This is not a limited edition shade and has in fact been around for quite some time. So if you find a China Glaze retailer near you, they should have this shade. I picked up mine in Canada at a local drugstore in Vancouver when I was there last summer.
What I love best about shades like this is that it makes your hands look more tanned. I am pale, like snow white pale and hardly tan, so anyway in which I can at least make it seem like I am more tanned than I am, is a plus for me. Nail polish is one way and a bright neon coral orange such as this is possibly the best way.
Yep, this has to be one of my favorite polishes for spring/ summer and I am looking forward to trying this on my toes as I love rocking seriously bright polishes on my toes when I wear peep toed flats. It is one of my go to shades for the nicer weather. Now, all I need is a little bit more sunshine and less rain and we’re all set!
What is your go to summer polish shade?
