I bought some books! Yep just before the end of the year I’ve decided to treat myself to an online book order. I actually completed my 50 book challenge last week and figured I needed to treat myself to celebrate the occasion. Just to make it truly worth your while, I decided to lump in some other books that I bought left and right over the past few months to make it fairly epic. Those books I’m holding in the picture? That’s roughly half of them. So let’s get to it!
There is no rhyme or reason to this haul really. I just ended up buying anything that grabbed my interest. From the make up book that the Pixiwoo sisters released this fall to some complete series and some continuations of some of my favorite book series out there. Shout out to Cassie, who recommended I read Emma Cline’s The Girls.

I got myself a Stephen King’s “The Green Mile”. I’ve seen the movie and it was absolutely heartbreaking and tearjerking, so obviously, masochist like I am, I decided to read a book too. I’ll start it in January.
I find reading the book after I’ve seen the movie very anticlimactic most of the time so I usually try not to. I have to be very much in love with a story in order to do that.
I know what you mean. I absolutely loved The Devil Wears Prada movie, so I bought the book. That was one of my worse reading decisions ever. I hated the book because it wasn’t anything what I was expecting it to be. The people there were so much more meaner and uglier from inside out. I was disappointed in the ending. Another book that I didn’t like was 50 shades of Grey, but the movie was pretty good. It was still bad because there isn’t much of a story there, but movie as a movie itself was good. I hope you understand what I’m trying to say with my perfect explaining skills haha
I read the original fanfic that 50 shades was based on. 😂 Both the books and the movies were a bit of a let down after that.
I haven’t but the writing style of the 50 shades was awful. I just couldn’t count anymore how many times she mentioned her “inner goddess” or referred him as “50 shades” 😂
It was awful indeed 😂. Btw I will film my bookcase tour during my christmas break. Will be up in January!
Well, I hope you like The Girls. I know I did. I loved the true crime element & maybe found a little bit of myself in the loneliness of the protagonist.
What a haul! I’m going to have to check out some of these titles.
Have you read The Night Circus? I can’t remember if you’ve mentioned it or not, but I think it’s another you would enjoy.
