I love my eyeshadow palettes, but some receive a little bit more love than others. Whether it’s because I love the color scheme, or because it gives me a good variety of colors: eyeshadow palettes are my vice and I love trying new things. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t have a few favorites that I grab for the most. Meet my 3 favorite high end and drugstore eyeshadow palettes that have 10 pans or more.
Favorite large eyeshadow palettes
I wanted to make it an even playing field, which is why I chose to include 3 more expensive palettes and 3 more affordable ones. They are all by different brands too as I didn’t want to double anything up. You know I love my Urban Decay and you know I love Zoeva. But there are a few more that I absolutely swear by.
Urban Decay Naked 3
Could this possibly be my all time favorite eyeshadow palette? I know a bold statement to make, but I think if I had to pick one palette, this would be it. This palette does it all for me: it goes from day time to night time and from neutral to intense. I love wearing this on the daily and if I don’t know what to wear, this is what I will reach for. I haven’t given this palette nearly the same amount of love on my blog. I never even reviewed this, but I feel there are so many reviews on this palette out there, that I don’t know if it is still worth doing one. What do you think?
Lorac Pro 2
Lorac is a brand that gets a lot of hype and I understand why. Though the Lorac palette of my choice isn’t the original pro palette: it’s the Pro 2. This is a cool toned lovers dream, with some interesting pop of color and an array of neutrals that will make any look work. I prefer this over the Pro 1 as that is too dark for me. In this one, I can wear every shade. My favorites? Nectar, Navy, Jade, Rosé and Chrome.
Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar
It’s not that I don’t like warm tones. Enter case in point: Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar. This palette pulls mostly warm toned, but has a few hints of cooler tones in the left side of the palette. I love pairing warms will cools and I also like how this has plenty of medium shades as well as a few that are dark, but not too crazy.
My problem with the Lorac 1 is that some of the shades aren’t only dark, they are also very pigmented which make them look too intense against my fair skin. This Too Faced is therefore perfect: the colors are easy to build up and it is great for creating an everyday look that is soft, warm toned, yet defined.
Make Up Revolution Flawless Matte 2
Make Up Revolution (or MUR) is a brand that does some great palettes. I wanted to include an all matte palette because they are hard to come by, especially in the drugstore. This one is a little different from the usual: it is neutral, but gives you a few shades to play with. What drew me into this were of course, the oranges and the nave. However, I also love the 4 taupe/ mauve shades in the bottom left hand corner of the palette.
Zoeva Cocoa Blend
If you are in the market for a warm toned neutral palette that doesn’t break the bank, then I can highly recommend the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette. Equipped with a gold and cranberry and enough neutral mattes to make the palette work, it is one of those palettes that is loved far and wide. Even though this has the least amount of pans of all of the palettes I’m showing you today, I’d say this is the most versatile of the bunch. In short, it’s a well thought out palette that works no matter what you do.
I <3 Make Up Chocolate Vice
My favorite I <3 Make Up palettes aren’t the ones that are dupes, but those that are unique to their line. This Chocolate Vice palette looks inspired by the Sweet Peach palette, but it most certainly isn’t because this line features a straight up dupe of that as well. I love the golds and peaches in this palette. It has a very interesting white/ gold highlight and it is definitely one of the more unique palettes in my collection.
