Current favorite The Body Shop scents

It feels like ages since I last wrote anything about The Body Shop’s bodycare products. The main reason for that is very simple: I haven’t bought ANYTHING from TBS since the Christmas season last year. I didn’t want to have to move kilos of shower gels and I figured I had plenty sitting around to keep me going for a while and so I didn’t buy anything from TBS for myself for a while now. So these may not be the newest ranges they have come out with, but these are the scents that I’ve been loving lately.

The Body Shop shower gel scent favorites

I prefer The Body Shop over Lush scent wise. Many of the classic Lush scents are too sweet for my liking and I prefer to shower and smell clean, not like cookies or bubblegum. Which is why I am not a massive fan of most fruity smells, but there are a few that The Body Shop does very well. It should be no surprise that some of those make it onto this list.

The Body Shop Piñita Colada Shower Gel – This line was all the rage when it first launched in 2016. So I was very glad they brought it back this year. I still had some from last year though and used it up over summer. It is the best summer scent: it’s fruity, but not too sweet. The pineapple gives it a tangy smell, while the coconut makes it a bit sweeter, but not overly so.

The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Shower Gel – My all time favorite scent by TBS? Vineyard Peach! That’s why it’s on this list twice, but I think the scents are a bit different in the different products. Call me weird! The shower gel has a soft sweet smell. Not that artificial peach scent the Too Faced products have, but that fresh smell of real peaches. Yum!

The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Butter -Because of the creamier texture of the body butter, I think the peach smell in this has a different quality to it. It seems richer, less fresh. More like peaches and cream than anything else. It has a softness to it and I love putting this on as a hand cream before going to bed. I find the smell very soothing.

The Body Shop Vanilla Chai Shower Gel – I am not a fan of vanilla scents at all, until I smelled last year’s Vanilla Chai rendition. This has that rich spicy smell that I love in a body product. The vanilla tones it down and keeps this from being too peppery and sharp and can we talk about the texture of this as well? I love a richer shower gel in the winter time and this is perfect for that.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Shower Gel – The nutty scents are my favorites from The Body Shop and the Argan Oil version is my favorite. In the shower gel it has a very rich smell. I love using this before bed time as it just makes me want to hit my pillow. It is so warm and comforting. I don’t believe much in aromatherapy, but this definitely helps me get to sleep without fail.
