A while ago my best friend visited Japan and when she brought back a few Japanese beauty bits for me to try as a surprise. She ended up getting some truly Asian beauty products and even though I haven’t been able to try them yet, I still wanted to share.
Japanese beauty bits
Now Asian beauty is all about that skincare, so it’s a good thing she bought me items that all fall into that category. The beauty culture in Asia is so different than here in Europe and I can’t wait to try some of these. I have used sheet masks before and have loved them so far for a good hydration. That seems to be the most common use for a sheet mask. Additionally there was a product both me and my friend were unsure of what it was until we Googled it.
Eyelash conditioner
My best friend is a complete Japan/ Asia freak: she reads manga, loves Japanese culture and with that all things Hello Kitty and Pucca. So it is no surprise she brought me back a Hello Kitty themed beauty product. It took a while to figure out what this was, but with the help of Google translate we could at least figure out this is some type of eyelash conditioner.
The product comes in a tube and looks like a clear mascara. And that is essentially the idea. You should be able to wear this under mascara or as a treatmet at bed time. The results should be fuller, stronger lashes. Like a leave-in treatment for your hair only for your lashes. After a bit of a search online, I even found out that this particular tube is or was limited edition as well.
Apart from cute packaging this eyelash conditioner has a plain bristled mascara wand that is quite straight and spikey looking. The product itself is a clear gel like product that has no scent to it. Since I have pretty good lashes of my own, I haven’t used this yet, but when my lashes start looking a bit sparse, I will make sure to give it a test.
Sheet Masks
Sheet masks are a thing in Asian beauty routines and so it’s very apt for my friend to bring me back not one but three. And fun ones at that, because the sheets of these masks have designs from the Alice in Wonderland movies on them. So you can now moisturize your skin while rocking the Queen of Hearts look. Who wouldn’t want that?!
Since all the writing on these is in Japanese and I can’t even discern what brand this is, I have no clue what these sheets are supposed to do. That they will be a load of fun to wear is self-evident, but I do think this is a late at night thing, because imagine what would happen if someone would ring the doorbell and you’re looking like the Cheshire Cat? In any case, I can’t wait to try these, but I still have some other face masks that need using up first.
Have you tried Asian/ Japanese beauty products before?
