Kiehls Cactus Flower face spray

In terms of skincare I love all the products I have tried from Kiehls so far. So it was time I’d try another product. I love a good face spray in the morning to act as a first layer of hydration. So far, I have tried some by The Body Shop which I loved and so I couldn’t wait to try some of this.

Kiehl’s Cactus Flower & Tibetan Ginseng Hydrating Mist

As with all Kiehl’s products, this does come at a higher price than most skincare products. I bought the smaller size at 75 ml which retails for €15. There is another size, which is larger at 125 ml, that retails for €25. It is nice that this comes in a smaller size as it means you can try it to see if it is for you, because that is always a good thing with skincare. You never know  whether it may be something you like.

The Packaging

This comes in a handy, plastic spray bottle. The key with these products is how the spray nozzle performs. This is one of the best ones I have tried so far. The mist this spray nozzle produces is super fine and the amount of product it disperses is excellent. I do find that you need a good couple of spray and I am going through it more quickly than other sprays that I have tried. However, that may also be due to the smaller size.

The Ingredient List

What this product promises to do is to give you skin an instant boost. It should keep your skin hydrated and help with skin regeneration. It should enable skin to retain moisture and make it feel smooth and soft. It contains essential oils to detox and protect the skin as well. It can be used under or over makeup.

The ingredient list can be seen clearly on the back and then one surprising ingredient stands out to me. Alcohol is listed in second place and not the good kind, which means that rather than hydrating, one of the most prominent ingredients in this products does not that. Of the essential oils promised that are in the product: they are there, but only at the bottom of the list.

The Swatch

As you can see in the picture above, this is a very hydrating product and there are still enough good ingredients in this product for it to do some work. I like how this feels and smells and my skin doesn’t feel dry after I use it. My skin feels nice and hydrated after using this, but still this product, while more expensive than any other face sprays I tried, does not perform as well. I find the TBS ones I’ve tried to be more hydrating for a longer period of time and to not run out as fast.

The Conclusion

While the Kiehl’s Cactus Flower face spray is a great product, I have found other, more affordable options that I like just a touch better than this. Still, I think that if you like face sprays then this can work just as well. If you like Kiehl’s and are in the market for a face spray than this is worth a shot.
