10 Palettes that Surprised Me

10 eyeshadow palettes that surprised me

Not all eyeshadow is created equal. Not all palettes get as much hype as they deserve and again other palettes get lots of critique for seemingly no reason. Only one way to find out how much you like a product, which is to try it yourself. And when you do that, you sometimes find some palettes that performed much better than you had expected. Either because a palette got lots of negative reviews and you ended up liking it despite the critique. Or because you tried a brand before and have lesser expectations because of that, or even because a palette you try is one that is ignored by almost everyone. What I am trying to say is that sometimes I am simply surprised by how good a palette is, despite what other people might like. Here are 10 palettes that surprised me.

  1. I love your top in this vid, super classy. I tried to get ABH Subculture, but like Too Faced’s White Chocolate Bar, it was no longer available. I’m thinking of getting Melt Smoke Signals since I can’t get Muerte either… I’m obsessed with greens. The palette that most surprised me in a good way is Juvia’s Place The Douce. Oh yeah I also got BH Cosmetics Smitten in Switzerland because they were out of the London one. It’s okay, but I would have prefered the London one. The shade Geneva came broken because the formula is so soft. That’s the down side of the really soft shadows.

    • Have you tried the official ABH website? Over here, palettes that have been pulled from retailers are still available through the ABH UK website. It’s how I got ahold of Prism months after it was taken out of stores. And the top is a dress!
