GRWM using my August Shop My Stash products

grwm august 2020

Today is the last Tuesday of the month so that means we are doing another Get Ready With Me! I am using nothing but older loves of mine as that was my Shop My Stash theme. So August was all about using all the old favorites, but then it was so hot that I barely got to wear any makeup. This video was the first time I sat down to film a video in more than two weeks AND the first time in more than two weeks that I did my makeup. I was a bit rusty… So this video is short but sweet.

I always enjoy GRWM! That Huda palette is cool. Well, yesterday I tried out my Lilac You A Lot palette with the dark shimmery blue in the Natasha Denona lilac mini. But one problem, as usual I forgot to put primer on, and in the heat it all began to come off my eyelids in less than an hour. LOL. I really like Colourpop’s quality though, it’s easy to apply. I’ve got to remember to use primer next time though. 🙂

I always double prime my lids for a reason. Shadows won’t stay put otherwise because of my deep creases!

Ah, that explains my trouble keeping them put! I rarely prime my eyes. My eyes are deep-set and hooded, so I definitely need to. I’ll have to remember from now on, before reaching for my palettes. I just automatically go straight to putting the shadow on. It’s really the only step I keep forgetting!

It always takes some getting used to when you add in a new set in your makeup routine. I tend to make primer the first thing I do so I can never forget precisely for that reason.
