A blush that had been on my wishlist for a long time? The KVD Vegan Beauty Everlasting blush in Foxglove. This warm toned mauve blush had my name written all over it and when I decided to place an order at the French Sephora earlier this fall, I decided to finally bite the bullet and get it. I have been on a total blush kick lately and so I have been buying and trying lots of new formulas. Let’s have a look together at whether this is any good.
Review: KVD Vegan Beauty Everlasting Blush Foxglove
The reason why I held off buying this for a long time is mainly because this is just incredibly hard to get. KVD Vegan Beauty is only for sale at Sephora in Europe and the only Sephora in Europe I can shop from is the French website. And me and the French Sephora website: well, let’s just way we aren’t the best of friends. So that’s why I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing this. Additionally KVD Vegan Beauty, formally known as Kat Von D, was a bit of a problematic brand for a while and so I wasn’t really interested in buying from them. When I bought this last September it retailed for €25, but I can currently no longer find this on the French Sephora website. So I am not sure whether this is simply out of stock or whether the product as a whole may have been discontinued.
What does this blush have to offer?

As many makeup products do this comes with claims: it should be a lightweight product that lasts all day while giving a soft-focus finish to the cheeks with a natural flushed look. Now what blush doesn’t claim to do that? Then again, some matte blushes I have found to be quite boring lately and I have been preferring a glowy blush over a matte one any time of day. So I was curious to see if this could sway me back into my old love: matte mauve toned blushes.
What is the shade like?

Foxglove is a shade that can only be describe as just that: a warm toned mauve. I love a good mauve blush and when I got it home I actually wondered why I wanted to own this so badly. It literally looks like almost any other mauve toned blush I already own. That said, mauve blushes are my favorite to wear and so I know I will get the use out of it, but this wasn’t exactly a must have. This was actually another reason why I didn’t buy this for so long. Now that I was lusting after some new blushes I felt it was justified to place an order.
What does this blush swatch like?

The Everlasting blush formula is a very pleasant one. I feel this stays on the cheeks well and you only need a little bit to make this work. There is some kick up as the blush is a tad powdery but that is why it also blends smoothly while still looking natural on the cheeks. It adds a nice bit of warmth and even though this is a matte formula there is still a hint of sheen which means this is not a flat matte, but a matte with a little more dimension to it.
What does this blush look like on the cheeks?

On the cheeks, this blush does exactly what I would like it to do. It adds a natural flushed look to my face while not being overdone or overpowering. It is one of the reasons why I love mauve toned blushes so much as they just go with every look I do. This is great for everyday wear to school or the office and you won’t look like you have overdone things. I would suggest using a light hand or a very light blush brush with this as it can be rather easy to pick up too much product.
My final thoughts

The KVD Vegan Beauty Everlasting blush in Foxglove is one that I am glad I finally decided to purchase. I think the rose like packaging is very nice and cleverly done and I love the shade inside it. The only real problem I have is that I already own a million blushes that have the same shade. So was this a must have for me? Not by any means and for the price point I feel this is a bit overpriced. But that could also be caused by the fact that I am in Europe and often prices are a lot higher here than they are in other countries.
Would I recommend the KVD Beauty blush in Foxglove?
Maybe. I am undecided on this one. I really like it, don’t get me wrong, enough to keep it around for sure, but this is not a musthave that I think everyone should have in their collections. By now you can find a good mauve toned blush at the drugstore for far less money such as the Essence The Blush blushes: it even comes in a similar shade! So when I compare price to the way this works, I really don’t think you need to splurge on this to get your hands on it.
