Maybe you already heard me talking about the new Catrice Melting Kiss lipstick when I showed you the new in Fall/ Winter 2022 update products. But maybe you haven’t. And in case you haven’t, this review is for you. These lipsticks were such a pleasant surprise to me that I didn’t just want to bury them in the general overview video. These pretty puppies warrant a dedicated review so that’s what we are doing today.
Review: Catrice Melting Kiss lipstick
Let’s go over the basic information first. Where can you get these? These lipsticks just launched in the EU. If you are not in the EU these will most likely not yet be available in your territory. You may have to wait a few months for these to come your way. If you are in the EU, then check out places like Boozyshop, Kosmetik4Less and Notino. Those all stock the lastest collections from the brand. How much are these? These lipsticks retail for €4.95 a piece, which is a great affordable lipstick.
What do these lipsticks have to offer?
We all know I like trying Catrice and Essence lipsticks and when I first swatched these I was not sure I was going to like these. Why? These swatch super sheer. As in: they barely show up (scroll down to see the swatch) but when applied to the lips these actually do make a difference. These are a rich, balm like texture that is comfortable on the lips and comes in 6 different shades.

How do these lipsticks swatch?
Can you understand why I was nervous about trying these? Of the six shades, four barely show up in a swatch on my arm. They all look so similar! Very sheer, barely existent shades that I feared would just look identical on the lips, safe for the brighter red and the deeper berry shade. But no, once applied to the lips, these lipsticks truly come out to shine. If you like a lipstick that combines the comfort of a balm, with the pay off of a gloss, with the staying power of a lipstick: then this is one to try.

I hope you can see what I mean here. As sheer as these look in a swatch, that’s how intense these look once applied to the lips. My favorite shades? 020, 040 and 060. I also like 050 but those three would be my top picks for something more nude and that berry shade is just perfect for the fall time.
Would I recommend the Catrice Melting Kiss lipsticks?
Hopefully this review has shown you why I was pleasantly surprised by the Catrice Melting Kiss lipsticks. The are some of the best launches from Catrice in recent years. These are comfy lipsticks that have good color payoff, a bit of a stain and the six shades available offer a variety of shades that I think can appeal to a lot of different people. Pick a nude and you’ll have a great shade that will work for every day. Pick a brighter shade and you’ll have a perfect shade for a night time look. I don’t think you’d regret getting one of these if you are interested.
