A brand on my 2022 to try list? Victoria Beckham Beauty. But this is an expensive brand and so I waited until I was able to see the products in real life when I traveled to London in the summer. After giving some things a swatch I decided to pick up two products to try. Today we are reviewing the first one: the Lid Lustre in the shade Mink.

Victoria Beckham Beauty is a brand that is a bit difficult to shop from. They are mainly found online and the official website is the main retail point for the brand. There is one place you can see the products in real life: the Victoria Beckham boutique in Soho, London.
Review: Victoria Beckham Beauty Lid Lustre eyeshadow in Mink
So difficult shopping experience aside, my main reason for wanting to see these products in store was the price point. This one, single eyeshadow retails for €38. That makes it the most expensive single eyeshadow in my entire makeup collection. At these price points, I need to see something first before committing to buy. However, I am happy to confirm that the products I was interested in onine also looked as I had expected when I found them in store.
What does this eyeshadow have to offer?

The Lid Lustre in Mink was high up on my list of products to try from the brand. This was something I found through Instagram sponsored content and the minute I saw it I knew it would be right for me. It is a deeper taupe shade in a very interesting feeling formula. This looks like a cream, but applies like a powder. This comes in a little pot with a disk to ensure this stays fresh and so it is more like a pressed pigment than a traditional powder shadow. I can’t really describe it, because it’s a formula unlike anything I have ever tried before. It is available in 10 shades.
How does this eyeshadow swatch?

So why is this so expensive? The brand claims these shadows are infused with real, actual crystals. The shade Mink is described as a taupe brown. You can see here that it certainly has a deeper brown base, but there is also a lot of reflective sparkle that you’d expect leads to fall out, but it doesn’t. According to the brand, the shadow is infused with Tigers Eye which is the gemstone used to create the shine.
How does this perform on the eyes?

So when applied to the eye you can see that this is a very dimensional shade. I did use a lighter taupe cream shadow to acts as a base. The Victoria Beckham shade is mainly on the movable lid and the lower lash line here. It sheers out beautifully though as you will be able to see in a future short/ Tiktok. I am currently doing 31 days of one and done eyeshadows and this will be one of the shadows that will be featured. So just head over to my Youtube channel to see this being applied.
Should you buy the Victoria Beckham Lid Lustre in Mink?

Yes Victoria Beckham Beauty is a luxury makeup brand and that is reflected in the price point. In the case of this product I feel it is very much worth it though.
The formula is unlike anything else I have tried with a creamy feeling but it applies and blends like you would a regular powder formula. The high shine shimmer particles make it seem like this will be a mess to apply but I experience no fallout upon application, nor throughout the day as I wear this.
Moreover, the product wears all day, can be applied with a brush or fingers and Mink is a stunning shade. Sadly, it is one of the few cool toned neutrals in the line and I would love it if they could release more shades that would be up my street.
If you are looking to splurge on a great luxury makeup product that has it all from the packaging to the user experience, then I would say this is worth the extra cash.
