I love trying some good, affordable skincare and Good Molecules is a brand that doesn’t disappoint. I have had the opportunity to try quite some products by the brand over time and I have liked most. That’s why I was curious to see whether I’d like the Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid serum as much.

One reason I like Good Molecules skincare is because it is affordable and has simple ingredient lists yet is still very effective. Unlike other affordable skincare brands they do not focus on single ingredients but their products are meant to deliver targeted skincare without the fuss. While I have received PR from the brand in the past, I have since bought everything with my own money.
Skincare review: Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid Serum
The main problem with the brand is availability. If you’re in the EU, the only place you can get it from is Beautylish. At just $12 for this bigger 75 ML size: that’s a great deal. They also sell this in a 30 ml size which is $6. So you pay half, but you also get less than half the amount of the bigger size. So the bigger size is definitely a good deal.
What are the ingredients like?

As the name suggests this product is meant to hydrate the skin. I have dry/ dehydrated skin, so I am always looking for hydration. And this product promises to do just that! Which is why I wanted to try it. Now granted, do you need hyaluronic acid in your skincare routine? Maybe not. I have heard many dermatologists indicate that the ingredient is in almost everything, so it may not be a must have. However, this has been formulated with some other ingredients, which is why it can still be good.
What are the ingredients like?

One thing I appreciate about Good Molecules is that their ingredient lists are short and unlike other brands, there is no guess work how much there is of each ingredient. They simply list the ingredients. Like this:
- Water – 85.4%
- Propanediol – 10.0%
- Glycerin – 3.0%
- Sodium Hyaluronate – 1.0%
- Hydroxyacetophenone – 0.3%
- Sodium Citrate – 0.2%
- Citric Acid – 0.05%
- Ethylhexylglycerin – 0.05%
So first up, this isn’t just straight up hyaluronic acid. It’s a serum that combines a few ingredients that combined should help hydrate the skin. It is still recommended for use on damp skin, but unlike other hyaluronic acids I have tried, this does not dry out my skin.
Should you buy the Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid serum?
I think this may be a nice product for everyone who wants to add that basic step of hydrating to your skincare routine. This works well, doesn’t make my skin feel itchy or irritated and I generally like it.
The only issue I have with the product is the bottle. It’s glass and the large version has a long, skinny dropper that’s also glass. Every time I use this, I think it might break. So far it hasn’t.
I still have a second bottle of this in my skincare cupboard, but I wouldn’t not necessairly repurchase it again after that. I can use it as part of my day time skincare routine just fine, but at the end of the day I don’t think it is the addition in my skincare routine I need to keep my skin in tip top shape. I’d prefer a peptide serum for that.
