Yes I have more Lisa Eldridge lipstick reviews for you! If you’ve been here before you’ll know how much I love the Lisa Eldrige lipsticks. Last summer, they released new shades in the Luxuriously Lucent and Insanely Saturated lines. I picked up two shades of each. Let’s review them!
The shades that are featured here today are Meet Me In Berlin and Wonder Wheel from the Luxuriously Lucent line. From the Insanely Saturated line I bought New Wave and Strawberry Shock. And it will come as no surprise that I absolutely love these.
Review: Lisa Eldridge Luxuriously Lucent & Insanely Saturated lipstick – Meet Me In Berlin, Wonder Wheel, Strawberry Shock, New Wave
I hate sounding like a broken record: but these lipsticks are good. They are €33 a piece, which is why I only buy a few at a time. Slowly but surely I will eventually own all of these again and I plan on buying a few more once the shades I don’t have come back in stock. The only place you can shop the brand is the official website which is linked below.
What do these lipsticks have to offer?
The Lisa Eldridge makeup brand started with lipsticks, but the first release was the True Velvet range. Later, the brand added the more lightweight Luxuriously Lucent line and the more pigmented Insanely Saturated lipsticks.
The Luxuriously Lucent formula is a great buildable pigment lipstick with a very soft, semi-sheer color that always looks very natural.
The Insanely Saturated formula is also a matte line but the color is more intense and the shades are typically bolder and more vibrant.
I have a review video up with some of the other shades I own from these lines.
What do these lipsticks have to offer?
From these new releases I picked up two of each. From the Luxuriously Lucent line I bought Meet Me in Berlin which is a brown toned nude and Wonder Wheel: a vibrant coral.
From the Insanely Saturated line I picked up New Wave and Strawberry Shock. New Wave is a vibrant purple magenta which is so much fun to wear. Strawberry Shock is so bright my camera has a difficult time doing it justice. I would describe it as a neon pink toned red.
What do these swatch like?
I think these swatches show you quite well how these formulas differ. The Luxuriously Lucent ones are sheerer, thinner but also have a bit of shine. The Insanely Saturated truly pack a punch and the colors are some of the most vibrant ones I have in my makeup collection.
What do these lipstick look like on the lips?
Let’s do some lip swatches! Here again you can see how these are different in texture and intensity. While Meet Me in Berlin and Wonder Wheel look super intense in the bullet, once applied they are more muted down and far more wearable than you might expect.
Strawberry Shock and New Wave are intense but I feel the Insanely Saturated formula has definitely been improved on since I first tried it. The first ones I have were a bit more drying, showed lines a bit more and looked a bit crumbly along the edges. As you can see here both shades look beautiful on the lips. Great if you want your lipstick to really stand out.
Should you buy the Lisa Eldridge Luxuriously Lucent and Insanely Saturated lipsticks?
My answer to that question would be a yes. Slowly but surely I have been replacing my lipstick collection with nothing but Lisa Eldridge lipsticks. I love the formulas, the wear time and the shade range.
There are a few gaps (we need a good mauve!) in terms of colors, but for the most part a Lisa Eldridge lipstick will never let you down. Even shade that may seem unwearable at first will work for you and especially the more intense shades can be blotted down and worn as a stain quite easily.
So these aren’t just great lipsticks they are versatile as well. I find these lipsticks truly offer something more unique and that’s why I love them. The shades are spot on, the formulas as spot on and overall I don’t want to wear anything else.
If you are looking to gift yourself or someone you love a unique lipstick experience than I would highly recommend the Lisa Eldridge lipstick lines. Find the shade that works best for you and you’ll have a great lipstick that can be worn day or night.
