We are kicking the VB love off with a review of the iconic Posh lipsticks.
I received these lipsticks in PR and I requested three shades to try. As I normally would when I try out a new lipstick line I opted for a nude, a red and something fun and the Victoria Beckham Beauty collection has all three! I went with Jump, Pop and Alter Ego and these are some lovely lipsticks let me tell you.

Let’s first discuss the price point. This is one expensive lipstick, but then again the Victoria Beckham makeup line is a luxury makeup brand so it was to be expected that the price for these is higher than most lipsticks. At €42 it is on par with other luxury lipstick brands and it has some super stunning packaging to boot, so to me these are definitely worth the investment. Let me tell you why!
What do the Victoria Beckham Posh lipsticks have to offer?
When swatching these out, you notice instantly how rich and creamy these are. On my arm they may not look super pigmented, but that changes once these are on the lips. Especially with the two brighter options, you instantly see how intense these are.The color pay off is therefore as rich as the texture.
These have a slight shine to them, but they aren’t overly shiny. The formula is thin and pleasant on the lips. The brand claims there are special butters and waxes in this formula as well as other ingredients that help to condition your lips.
So not only do you get color and comfort but you also get some good for your lips ingredients. To top things off the brand is vegan and clean. These lipsticks are available in 15 different shades from the palest nude to the deepest moody shades.
Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Lipstick Jump
I knew that the Posh lipsticks would be my next purchase from the brand when I bought a few products from their London Soho boutique last year. I was able to see the full range there and the lipsticks really stood out to me. This shade especially was one that looked to be a perfect everyday color for me that I can just pop on no matter what I am wearing.
Jump is described as a cool rose, not really a nude for most people perhaps but it is my perfect ‘my-lips-but-better’ shade. I have a naturally more pigmented lip color and struggle finding good nudes. Traditional nude colors usually clash with my more cool leaning undertone or they would just always be too light. Jump keep the middle ground for me between a mauve and a pink and I love that slight hint of purple it has.
Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Lipstick Pop
Whenever I try a new lipstick range I have to try my favorite shade of lipstick: a red. I find that how well a brand does a red lipstick can give you a lot of information on how well their lipsticks perform. It is the best shade to test out wear time, lasting power and how the color fades. These Posh lipstick score well on that regard. For how creamy these are they wear down nicely and they last a couple of hours on the lips. After 4 -5 hours of wear and a meal this needs touching up but these do not leave the horrible ‘ring of death’ around my mouth like most cream formulas do.
In terms of shade Pop is a classic red that leans a little bit more warm toned. It still has a lot of blue in it for it to be classified as a neutral red, but when I compare it to other more blue toned reds in my collection this definitely contrasts and seems to have a slight hint of orange to it. The brand calls this is a cherry red and I think I would agree: a great balance between warm and cool and therefore perfect for many skin and undertones.
Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Lipstick Alter Ego
The wildcard of the bunch is Alter Ego. I always like to try a more unusual and unexpected shade from a brand if they do them. I am happy to report the Victoria Beckham line doesn’t just cater to safe neutrals and classic shades. There are also some more daring shades especially in the deeper categories such as rich browns, crimsons and berries.
But I really wanted to try their pop of pink, because I have been loving my bright pinks these past few weeks as we have been moving from winter to spring. Alter Ego is described as a rich raspberry pink and that is a very good description. This has a rich berry vibe yet also a vibrancy to it that you get from a white based pink. Combined with the rich, creamy formula this is my favorite shade of the three.
Should you buy the Victoria Beckham Posh lipsticks?
I think these lipsticks are gorgeous. The rich and creamy formula feels great on the lips. The thin texture means these remain feeling comfortable on the lips and are never drying. The wear time for this type of formula is great with a good 4 – 5 hour wear time before the need to touch up. Moreover I love the shades the range has to offer.
These are some great versatile lipsticks that I feel can cater to many lipstick lovers’ needs. That said, they are pricey so this is a once in a while kind of purchase for me. So if you are looking to splurge on a great lipstick formula or if you are looking for a small but great gift for someone this is one I would highly recommend. Between the luxurious feeling tortoise shell style packaging and the creamy formula there will be something here for anyone.
