One of my favorite liquid lipstick formulas? The Peripera Ink Velvets! I already tried some last year and then I got a new shade in PR! So let’s review it.
Why do I love the Peripera Ink Velvets so much? Because they have a rich & creamy formula that is easy to apply, stays comfortable on the lips and comes in a vast range of shades. Peripera is easily one of my favorite K-beauty brands as well, so let me tell you why I love these so much.
Review: Peripera Ink Velvet Lipstick 22 Bouquet Nude
First of all, these are affordable. Not all K-beauty brands are, but Peripera most certainly is and the websites where I mostly buy my K-beauty products from (Yesstyle and Stylevana) often do sales so you can get a bit of money off. This retails for under €10 which is a good price point all things considering.
What does this product have to offer?
A lot! This has a rich creamy formula, a massive shade range and comfortable texture that feels great on the lips. Where some liquid lipstick dry down and get dry and cakey, these stay feeling creamy. They do need a bit of touching up after a few hours and therefore I think of these as a liquified lipstick rather than a liquid lipstick.
How does this product swatch?
Where most liquid lipsticks dry down matte, this has a bit of healthy shine which makes them look very pretty on. It is more of a satin finish which makes them look very nice. What’s more is that there are over 35 shades available. I often buy my K-beauty from Yesstyle as they have a larger collection, Stylevana often has cheaper price points, so it’s worth shopping around.
Should you buy the Peripera Ink Velvet lipstick?
So I haven’t mentioned much about the shade 22 Bouquet Nude. Since this was sent to me, I didn’t get to choose the shade and it’s not one I would have picked out for myself. The shades I owned previously are much better for me, but too similar to things I already owned.
However, even though I have now decluttered all of these, I did repurchase some different shades that I think might work better for me. This is a lovely formula that I just couldn’t NOT have in my makeup collection. So when I spotted the brand doing a set of reds and a nude that sounded right up my street, I felt I couldn’t pass them up.
Do you need this? Only if you want to try one of K-beauty’s star products. Or if you just want to try a great lipstick.
