One of the most affordable K-beauty brands? The Saem. But that they are cheap doesn’t mean they aren’t any good! I tried their concealer before and even though I didn’t love the shade I did love the formula so I wanted to try more. So let’s try the Studio Glow foundation.

So I wasn’t sure what to expect of this when I ordered it. I just knew I wanted to try a range of K-beauty base products, mainly BB Creams. So to see a brand do an actual foundation had me intrigued. And the best part? There is only information in Korean about what this is supposed to do. So this was a complete gamble. Let’s go!
Review: The Saem Studio Glow foundation #21 Cool
At just €8.75 it is definitely an affordable one. This is for the mini travel size version but I can’t look up whether there is a larger size as this is the only version stocked on Yesstyle, where I buy all my K-beauty items. They simply have the best deals, do regular sales and aren’t too bad when it comes to shipping.
What does this foundation have to offer?

First of all, it may be good to know this only comes in 4 shades. There is one lighter shade than this one and 2 deeper ones. But nothing exceeds a light shade here as shade 21 comes in both a cool and a neutral undertone.
This foundation offers an SPF of 35 and a glowy finish. It should contain some better for your skin ingredients to enhance the skin and moisturize it while giving a natural coverage. It should be lightweight yet also be longwearing.
As you can see in the swatch this foundation is very glowy and a little goes a long way. The first time I used this, I had used too much and the richer formula meant I ended up with streaks. So I have found you need to work with as little product as you can for the best result.
What is the coverage like?

This is indeed a natural coverage foundation. You can still seem my redness peeking through but it’s got pretty decent coverage as well. With a bit of concealer my skin looks even yet glowy, which is exactly the kind of coverage I like.
This wears well throughout the day as it settles down and then doesn’t budge. The SPF 35 is a nice added bonus but not enough to give proper sun protection. So use an SPF underneath for sure. Especially because you only need a little bit of this to get a good effect.
What is the shade match like?

Shade 21 Cool is a pretty decent one. For a cool toned shade it is still quite yellow toned though. Yet, once the rest of my makeup is done I think this blends in very well with the rest of my skin and it looks really good.
Overall, this is a good foundation and for how much it costs I think it is a great product. The rich, creamy formula feels moisturizing on my dry skin while giving a naturaly glow and exactly the kind of coverage I like.
Should you buy The Saem Studio Glow foundation?

I think The Saem Studio Glow foundation is an absolutely gorgeous foundation. Feels high end, but you pay pennies. As with lots of these K-beauty base product reviews I have to say again that I would love this even more if there were more shades available. For anyone too light or too deep this just won’t work.
So yes, this is a stunning formula for sure and I would highly recommend it if you are looking into trying some K-beauty foundation. This is definitely not a BB cream and more of a traditional foundation which is rare to find within the K-beauty sphere. So definitely worth a shot.

This is my favourite k beauty foundation. This stays so well on the skin in humidity and 107 F temp. A lot of people think this is a dupe of ysl foundation
