The final product I need to review before I can do one giant overview of all the K-beauty BB creams and foundations I have tried, is the Clio Nudism Water Me CC Cream. This is not a BB Cream it’s a CC cream. Let’s find out the difference and whether I like it.

So what is the difference between a BB and CC cream you ask? Apparently it’s is the more lightweight sister of a BB cream, but much like a BB cream it should also color correct at the same time, while adding some skincare benefits. Now some websites claim it should have higher coverage than a BB cream, others claim it is best suited for oily skin. Let’s find out how it worked for me.
Review: Clio Nudish Water Me CC Cream
The only CC Cream I have ever tried is the one by IT Cosmetics, which I have always felt is a bit of a misnomer as it feels mostly like a traditional foundation to me. I was hoping the Clio Nudish CC cream would give me the experience a CC cream is supposed to offer. At €15 on Yesstyle it certainly seemed like a good deal, but it currently out of stock, but the website indicates it will be back soon.
What does this product have to offer?

At first I really liked this product. It has a good shade, a smooth formula and it blends very easily into the skin. The glowy finish is very pretty and it seemed to have good coverage. This product contains an SPF of 50, should tone up and brighten skin and it contains moisturizing ingredients such as aloe vera and camella extract. On paper this sounds like everything I like in a base product.
What is the coverage like?

Excuse the blurry picture but the point I am making here is: will it cover my redness and as you can see, this product does not cover everything. I didn’t expect it to, but I would like just a touch more coverage than this. It does look nice on the skin and with a bit of concealer my skin looks glowy.
However, that tone-up effect? I don’t really see it. While I can see this has a hint of peach in it, I feel it isn’t strong enough to do much on my skin. It mainly just looks like a regular base product on me. But I took these pictures last winter when my skin was paler and pinker. Let’s see whether this is a good shade match for me.
What is the shade match like?

As you can see the shade match is pretty decent. That said, these pictures were taken last winter when my skin was at its fairest and then this works. I have been testing it out in the past week and it actually seems to be too light for me. This only comes in one shade as well, so that is a bit of a bummer.
But that’s not all. In fact, I am not loving this product at all. It seems to be in between a primer and a foundation for me. If I apply too little I don’t get the coverage and correcting effect the product promises to give (nor would I get the benefits of the SPF). If I wear as much as a foundation, the layer is too thick, the shade looks off and it is too obvious and makeuppy.
Should you buy the Clio Nudism Water Me CC cream?

Overall I cannot fault this product in terms of texture, wear time and longevity. This works well, looks great but if I use to much or too little the product only gets me halfway there every time. I have applied this using a brush, a sponge and fingers and I feel that fingers give the best result.
My one true downside to this product is the scent. It has quite a strong scent that I cannot really place, but it’s like a fruity alcohol scent that I don’t love and it lingers for quite a long time. All in all, I find this on the drier side of products that I like and so I think this one isn’t quite right for me.
To sum it up, here is my main reason why this isn’t work for me: the product doesn’t give me the results I want, is not great for my skin tone and doesn’t work the best with my skin type. Perhaps if you are super pale year round this could work if your skin is more normal to oily.
