Byoma is a hot new skincare line that is not only affordable, but also comes in colorful packaging and does target specific skin needs while giving a well-rounded skincare experience that works for many different skin types. I have seen their products all over and I am slowly starting to dip my toes in. This is my first time trying the brand.

Skincare Review: Byoma Milky Oil cleanser

At €15 this is quite a good price point for an oil based cleanser. One of my favorites is the Good Molecules Cleansing Balms but as that is only available in the US, it can be a hassle to pick up. This promises to melt off makeup with ease without any of the nasty side effects of using a cleanser.

What does this product have to offer?

This liquid cleanser is a great daily cleanser at the end of the day. It should easily remove makeup and SPF without stripping the skin and clogging pores. I find this too rich for the day time, but it also helps to maintain your skin barrier so there are lots of added benefits. Add water and it turns a milky white that is easily rinsed away.

The ingredients on this cleansers are as follows:

Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Hippophae Rhamnoides Oil, Tocopherol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopherol, Sphingolipids, Ceramide NP, Squalane, Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil.

With plenty of oils and even some ceramides and squalane in, no wonder this cleanser leaves your skin feeling great: cleansed yet not oily and not squeaky clean either.

What is my experience using the product?

This is definitely an instant favorite in my skincare routine. It does exactly what it promises. As you can tell from the picture above, once rinsed off and wiped away your skin maintains its glow and feels nourished while being clean. Makeup is easily taken off, even very heavy longlasting glam and a pump is all you need.

I only use it in my night time routine as I have stopped overly cleansing my skin as my dry skin doesn’t love that. It is great as a makeup remover and it has a pleasant yet not overly noticeable minty scent. Every time I use this my skin feels soft and clean and that’s all a cleanser needs to do.

Should you buy the Byoma Milky Oil cleanser?

As much as I love this, I don’t think this will be great for everyone. If you have oily skin this may not be the best for you as it is an oil based cleanser. While this promises to not clog pores and my dry skin loves this, I also know some people dislike olive oil in their skincare because it does precisely that for them and that is the main ingredient here. So stay away if that is you.

If like me however, you have dry skin that needs all the moisture, hydration and nourishment it needs than this is a great cleanser to try. This brand just shows that good skincare doesn’t have to break the bank and when I run out of this I will defiitely try to track another one down. Sadly not readily available in The Netherlands but there are plenty of online places that stock them.
