This week I am not posting a nail of the week. The reason? Because I want to try something new, but am not yet sure how it will turn out. So that post will be back next week. Instead, I thought that the eyelook I made a few days ago turned out rather nicely so that will be up today. I just started playing around with some random green eyeshadows and when I had done my lid and crease work I felt there was something missing. I didn’t want to go with any old inner corner highlight and suddenly I remembered having the Sleek Acid palette which includes a bright neon green shadow. I stuck that in my inner corner and I was very happy with the result. So if you are interested in seeing a wearable eye look that does feature neon (THE fashion and make up trend for summer) then keep on reading.
Oh and can I just say: hooray for good lighting?!

And I felt a little cheeky that day! I wore this out to the Marcus Foster concert in Amsterdam on Thursday and let’s just say the pop of green drew quite a bit of attention. I literally saw people do a double take. So even though it is definitely a wearable way to add a pop of neon into your eyelook, depending on where you’re wearing it to, it may be more or less appropriate. I don’t think I’d wear this look to work, but for a fun day out on the town? I say: why not!
Green hair band (H&M)

[…] 4.) In the inner corner – An unexpected way of adding color is by focusing the brightest, most intense shade in your inner corner or inner third of the eye. On my eye shape that part of the eye is the most visible, which is why I love adding a touch of color there. I did a bright neon green highlight using the Sleek Acid palette you can see in the pictures above and this is what that looked like. […]
