Since I purchased and received quite a lot of beauty products over summer, it is only natural that come fall many of these have become part of my beauty favorites. Apart from that, a change of hairstyle and a necessary beauty purchase also added a change in my routine, which led to the discovery of even more products. Here is what I am currently loving.
I have selected 10 beauty favorites. Normally, my favorites posts include more than just beauty products, but I found it so easy to find 10 of them, that there simply was no more room for anything else. I will promise to do a random favorites soon.
L’Oreal Studio Line Volum’ Max Volume Spray
I had a hair cut at the end of August and it is now a good deal shorter than it was. And with a change in hairstyle, comes a change in product. I already had a can of this stuff from when it was first released, but with my old hair I didn’t like it much as it didn’t seem to do anything. Now that my hair is shorter, this spray gives me the texture and hold I need to maintain my messy hairstyle look.
Bumble & Bumble Don’t Blow It (H)Air Styler
‘For great hair without the heat or hassle’ it says on the packaging and that’s exactly what this does. This product is supposed to make your air dried hair look better and I am in love with this stuff. My waves look healthier and less frizzy after using this and I pretty much wake up with a good hair day almost every day.
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge
Make up sponges. They were not high on my ‘must have’ list. In fact, this is the first make up sponge I have ever tried. And it’s an immediate hit. I love this for applying my foundation: it’s quick, it’s easy, the coverage is bang on and the finish is natural.
Sonia Kashuk Core Tools Large Shader brush no. 203
When I was in the US, I knew I had to hit up Target. They are known for carrying beauty brands that aren’t available elsewhere and Sonia Kashuk is one of them. The display was pretty much ransacked, but the brushes were nearly all there. I picked up this large shader brush and I’ve been loving it for my brown bone highlight ever since.
ELF Small Stipple Brush
When I first dabbled into make up, affordable brushes were a must have and ELF was a brand I naturally veered towards. I hadn’t tried any of their brushes for years, but when I saw EmilyNoel83 use this brush and rave about it on Youtube, I decided to try it. Best. Contour. Brush. Ever.
Sally Hansen Cuticle Oil
On vacation, I dropped my bottle of argan oil that I used on my cuticles and it rolled under the bed, never to be seen again. Since my nails cannot go without cuticle oil for too long, I decided to try and find something new. I found this Sally Hansen one and I am in love. My nails seem stronger than ever and the only thing I have changed up is this product.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light
A product which praises I cannot help but sing is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder I bought at Sephora. I had one on my wishlist for a while, but I didn’t know which one to get. Then the lady used this on me as a subtle, glowing bronzer and I knew this was the newest beauty product to break my make up routine wide open.
Milani Matte lipstick matte darling
Milani is a drugstore brand mostly known for their blushes. Their lipsticks I hadn’t heard much about yet, until they released a matte line. Matte darling is a sweet pinky nude that I love slapping on with more dramatic looks. It is one of those shades that just goes with anything and stays in place for most of the day.
Essence All About Nudes eye shadow palette
Forget all the expensive make up palettes I bought on vacation! My current favorite eye shadow palette? This Essence number that only costs €3.99. And it’s even the palette I thought I may not like, as I preferred the bronze one at first sight. But now that I have been using these babies, this one takes the cake as it is versatile, has a variety of textures and has a super gorgeous taupe shimmer that works with almost anything.
Milani Tea Rose Blush
Last but not least, the blush that I have been using most this past month: the Milani rose blush. First of all, just look at that pattern?! Shaped like a rose and not the most pigmented blush in a swatch I was worried this would be one of those products that I would pass on to a cousin or a friend rather quickly. But that didn’t happen, I have been using this most days as it is right on the money when it comes to great fall blush colors.

De milani blush heeft een mooi patroontje! De Hourglass highlighter vind ik goddelijk!
XOXO esmee
