6x perfect blush colors for pale skin

At this time of year, just before the weather takes a turn for the better is when I am at my palest. As with getting a tan, my level of paleness increases as winter progresses. Hence I am at my fairest when winter is pretty much over. And that is when I bring out my palest of pale blushes. But there are a few other shades that I love wearing on my light complexion. On other skin tones these shades may not look right, or may not show up at all, but on me, these all give varying degrees of a natural flushed look that I love.

6 perfect blush shades for those snowy white skin tones out there

For my 6 best blush for pale skin picks, I opted for 3 drugstore and 3 high end versions of similar blush shades. This to show you that you can or cannot break the bank in order to amp up your cheek look when your skin tone resembles that of snow white. I’m talking that skin tone that doesn’t get a tan no matter how hard you try and that almost looks translucent when its at its palest. I’m not saying I will not darken up a little bit over the summer time, I do, but for 75% of the year I am nearly white and even when I am at my most tan, I still pale in comparison to almost everyone I know.

Catrice Multi Colour Blush 060 Strawberry Frappucino

Drugstore option number 1 is a dusty rose shade that unfortunately is no longer available, but Catrice does very similar shades in their permanent collection still. I just happen to have this one on hand and even used it in several make up looks that I posted on here. It gives off a very sheer amount of color: like a soft healthy rosy tint to your cheeks. It puts just the right amount of color back into my cheeks for those super pale months.

Rival de Loop Young Mono Rouge 03 Pink Grapefruit

One of my favorite all time drugstore blushes is this one by Rival de Loop Young. Since I picked this up in Berlin almost 2 years ago and that being the last time I visited Germany, I have no clue whether you can still get your hands on this. If you can, make sure you get it. This is the best pinky reddish flush for that fresh I-just-pinched-my-cheeks type of look. As if you just came in from the cold after a long walk in the snow, as demonstrated in this blog post.

Sleek Blush in Pixie Pink

Pixie Pink by Sleek is a pale girl’s drugstore classic. If you hadn’t heard of this yet, then where have you been? I purchased it after hearing Wayne Goss on Youtube mention this as being perfect for pale skin and I most certainly haven’t regretted that decision. These bright blue toned pinks can give you a pretty almost ethereal glow and a name like Pixie Pink is thus the most perfect one ever. I am wearing it here.

NARS Blush in Sex Appeal

One of my all time favorite high end blushes, also just happens to be one of the best shades for when you are pale like me. I used it just recently in my daily make up routine video. It has been a staple for me in the past 6 weeks or so and I find myself reaching for this blush without fail whenever winter is in full swing. It’s peachy pink shade gives off a comparable effect to the Catrice blush in this post, but this is a bit brighter due to the peachy undertone.

Now this is a blush I had yet to show you. It’s been in my collection for some time, but it’s one of those products I simply forget I have. And one reason for that is because this is super intense. If you are familiar with Sleek blushes, you’ll know those are intense. This amps it up a notch and gives a staining effect at that. This is perfect for warmer weather as it barely moves on your skin and I personally love these brighter pinks during the summer months. I’m not saying you can swim with this and it will still be on, but it will definitely withstand a sweaty, humid summer day.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat

My final pick is Diffused Heat by Hourglass. How could I not include this? I have been in love ever since I bought this. It is similar to the Rival de Loop blush I showed you, but this has more glow to it and gives an even more naturally flushed look. It blends like a dream and I raved about it when I reviewed it. Again, another all time favorite blush and one that suits me year round. I mostly wear this in spring time though as it makes for an easy glowy look which is perfect for spring time.

Catrice, Rival de Loop, Sleek, NARS, The Balm, Hourglass

You can clearly see the difference in the swatches. The three shades are comparable, hence the effects are comparable too. However, of these, both the drugstore and high end blushes have their pros and cons and I love them all equally as much. From paler than pale pinks, to bright pops of pink and that lovely flushed reddish tone: I love wearing all of these shades at different times in the year.

What are your pale blush recommendations?
