Makeup declutter | Brushes

When I decluttered all of my makeup for the move, I totally forgot about going through my brushes and makeup tools. Which is why I decided to do that the other day. Of course I had to film it for you guys. So grab a cup of tea and relax, because today I have an array of brushes to show and you’re in for a long one.

I own quite a few brushes and some I hardly ever use. My brush collection is definitely one I built up over the years. I went from having no brushes to having too many though. As I kept trying more brushes, some of my older brushes fell into disuse or I bought a set of which I only ended up liking a few brushes in the end (I’m talking to you Real Techniques). So needless to say there was quite a bit here that I knew I could do without. Want to see how I did? Then click the video!

As you can see I have brushes from many different brands. Many of my Sigma brushes are old: I bought them when they were only available from their website and some other brushes that go way back are my The Body Shop brushes. Some of these I still love, others I no longer use. In recent years Zoeva has been one of my favorite brush brands and also Real Techniques has totally changed the brush game for me. Overall,  I like using more affordable brushes and sometimes splurge on one that I think might truly add something to my makeup collection. I only own one MAC brush for instance!

I hope you enjoyed the video and have a great Sunday!

  1. Yesssss. I’ve gathered so many brushes to be decluttered – this is inspiring me to gather more of them. I’ve put off so long in posting but I’m determined to do it in the new year as a fresh start!
