Random outfits #12

It’s time for another round of random outfits. You know, I get dressed every day, so it is no wonder that some outfits will be worthy of a share on here. I mostly wore quite summer appropriate outfits. There were quite some hot days already and so I wore dresses, skirts and lots of summer shoes. So here we go!

Random outfits #12

More recently we’ve been having some cooler spells as well, so jeans were also in order. However most of these outfits feature some of my favorite items from my summer wardrobe. The red dress, the white skirt and one of my favorite pants for the summer time: a linen pair of joggers. There are the outfits I wore in the past few weeks.

This super basic outfit is one of my favorites to wear in the summer time. The culottes are wide and flowy and they are a great summer pant. The stripe makes for a great pattern and I like pairing it with other black & white items in my wardrobe. For a bit of added color, I decided to pair this outfit with my pink suede loafers. Most of these items I got last year, but I’m sure you can find similar items still for summer 2018.

Another quit basic outfit, but a good one I think. You can’t see it very well in the picture, but the top is riddled with tiny polka dots. It has an off shoulder detail and a ruffle across the chest. I wore it with my favorite linen joggers. These are so lightweight and easy to wear in the summer time. For shoes, I decided to go with my studded Zara brogues to keep the black theme going.

But this wouldn’t be a summer time outfit overview if I didn’t add some fun pops of color. Case in point: this yellow outfit. I wore this on a grey day that had a lot of rain forecast despite the quite warm temperature. It was just the bright pop of color that I needed that day. I like how it mixes patterns with the stripe and the floral, but it isn’t too crazy as the color scheme is quite monochrome. I am wearing my new yellow shoes that I showed you in yesterday’s favorites video and they will also feature in an upcoming haul.

This is one of those outfits that is plain and boring for the most part. However, then we pan down and there we have quite possibly the most outrageous pair of neon sneakers one could possibly own. That is exactly why the rest of this outfit is super boring. With anything too out there, these shoes a) wouldn’t pop as much and b) would just clash in the wrong way. The ripped jeans add a bit more of a chilled vibe as well to keep the outfit from being too intense otherwise.

Time for some more color! This red dress is one of my favorites for the summer time. I bought it years ago and it is just one of those dress that I know I will not get rid of unless it gets a hole or another defect. The color is perfect, I love the way it looks on me and it is super comfy to wear on a hot day. The length is not too short and not too long and this works with almost any shoe I own. For this outfit, I decided to pair the dress with my pair of leopard print espadrilles for some print and textures.

If you say summer, I say white outfit. Of course I spilled makeup on the skirt within 5 minutes of wearing this and later in the day I spilled tomato sauce on the shirt. Oh well, that’s what happens when you wear white. But I think this is a perfect summer outfit. The shirt has a fun striped print and some red embroidery on the chest. The skirt has a broderie anglaise style and the white brogues nicely finish off the outfit with that masculine touch I like so much.
