A fun summer shoe to wear are a pair of loafers. Since loafers are super low, these are worn best barefoot and that only works for me in the summer time. I own quite a few pairs and I thought I would style my favorites up for you and show you how I would wear these.

This first outfit is perfect for summer. This skirt is EVERYTHING! I remember spotting it in store and knowing I had to have it. It is a fun red shade with a minuscule floral print. The scalloped edge makes the skirt extra fun and flirty. You can’t really see it in the picture, but the top has a similar style of edging and another type of floral print. However, since the top is a dark base with a bright print, it clashes nicely with the skirt. Shoe wise I thus wanted to keep things simple and just paired this with my standard black loafers.

This next outfit features a very fun dress. Coincidentally this dress was the first item I ever bought from Monki. Back then it was only a consignment in Selfridge’s, so yeah, I got this a long long time ago. But I still love it. It is a green polka dot dress with a pussybow tie in the front. I find green a bit difficult to pair colorwise sometimes. However, since green is a cooltoned shade, I find that adding other cool toned colors always works. So why not pair it with my silver Gucci dupe loafers? Yeah, I think it works!

Yes, I not only own a pair of silver loafers, I also own a pair of gold ones. These have a heel and I got these on sale last year. They are a bit out there, so I mostly wear these with my flared jeans. I love how they give just that pop of interest under a much longer pair of jeans. With dress, I think they go well as well. The gold of the shoe is also in the dress, which is why it works and navy and gold is a classic combo that just works.

Another print clash! I didn’t realize I did that, but again I paired two similar prints, but with different color schemes to them. I find that if you want to clash prints it works well if the background color clashes mostly. Because the outfit already has a lot going on despite the monochromatic color scheme, I decided to go with a shoe that wouldn’t take over the outfit. These baby pink loafers are a real suede and they are a great low shoe for warmer days.

Now this last outfit isn’t very summer appropriate, but I thought it would be nice to show you how well loafers also transition into the fall. I bought this pair of vintage loafers from a shop in London and I have had them for year. Since they are burgundy they don’t go with too many things, but I love wearing them when I am wearing this Urban Outfitters cardigan that I have also had for years. This is a staple in my wardrobe and I wear it loads every year. The dress is nice and simple and really make the burgundy pop, but I like adding a stripe for a bit of a fun print.
