One of my more recent fashion revelations this year was wearing flared jeans. I used to wear them as a teenager, but always struggled as I am fairly short and flared jeans always come up fairly long. So they never fit right. Till I found a pair at Topshop and wore them tons already. I think they are also perfect for the fall time and I thought I’d show you how I would style up a pair of flared jeans. ย

I like styling up flared jeans with a bit of a 70s touch just for a bit of a throwback. So for this first outfit I threw in a bit of mustard yellow and a pair of brown block heels. 70s colors are everywhere this fall season and I am loving it. I am all about the earthy tones at the moment. The shoes make this outfit for me. I need the height with a flared leg as they come up long and since they are a block heel they are still very comfortable.

Burgundy is one of my other favorite colors for the fall time and this double lapel shirt is a longstanding fall staple in my wardrobe. I like the look of a tailored shirt with a pair of flared jeans as I like the juxtaposition. The shoes I went for are a bit high for my taste to be honest but they work really well with the jeans as they flash just a pop of the wooden heel when you walk in these. This is one of my favorite transitional outfits.

For those days that may be a bit nicer, then a pair of jeans with a summery top is a great option. It will ensure you get a bit more wear out of your summer items and I am all about that in the fall season. I just don’t want that summer feeling to go away too soon, so I like transitioning summer tops and dresses into the fall time. The tops go well with a flared jeans as that makes it perfect for the fall time. The shoes add again that 70s vibe with a pop of orange to clash against the indigo jeans.
Kimono | H&M
T-shirt | Forever 21
Jeans | ASOS
Shoes | H&M
One of my favorite items in my fall wardrobe is this kimono. It is a black floral which makes the color scheme perfect for the cooler weather, but since it is short sleeved it works with the current temperatures. I like keeping the rest of the outfit very simple to really make sure the floral print pops. It is floaty, airy and perfect for the fall time.
Jacket | ZARA
T-shirt | H&M
Shoes | ASOS
Jeans | ASOS
For the final outfit, I wanted to bring in some brighter colors. As I mentioned, it is my way of keeping the summer spirit alive. So bright greens it is. This jacket is one I have had for years, but I bust it out all the time when I want to wear something bright as it has a bunch of bright water colors and green stitching all over the jacket. I probably would not wear such high heels with it anymore, but I think they go well with this outfit.
How do you transition your fashion for the fall?

Great combinations!
Thanks!
I love the outfit with the floral Kimono, I just bought one very similar to it recently and will definitely consider wearing it with flare jeans. Great post.
Thanks! I like making these posts so I know how to wear some items in my own wardrobe. Glad to be of help.

Thank you
I have 1flared jean from Old Navy. I’ve been wanting to find a higher waist pair & a wider leg to really get that 70s vibe going. โ๐
I love the ones from Topshop that I now have. They are such a perfect length on me and have a great flare to them as well.
