September was quite the Indian summer and I have been crazing wearing all of my fall outfits. Fall means shirts and skirts and lost of dresses for me. I love wearing thinner tights and this is the season to wear them and it allows me to bust out so many different outfits. I wore only one pair of jeans in 2+ weeks! That is quite the achievement. So what did I wear? Here are some samples.
What I wore #2
As temperatures were still very nice all throughout the month, I was able to go tightless for some of these outfits. But as you can see in this overall picture, there is definitely a theme here in the choice of shoe. Where I am usually quick to bust out all of my boots as I love wearing those in the fall time. But I have been with going with brogues mainly lately. I have been loving the look of a nice pair of brogues with all of my outfits. Let’s have a closer look at the outfits.

This is one of my go to outfits for semi-warm weather. A longer skirt will keep you warm and cool at the same time. It means you can forego wearing tights and paired with a bootie it makes for a great fall outfit. I love pairing khaki with creams and whites and this shirt is sheer which adds a nice contrast in texture. Since it has longer sleeves, it is again great for transitional weather.

Shoes | & Other Stories
I finally found an opportunity to wear my new & Other Stories brogues. I think they are so cool. They did hurt my feet quite badly as they started to rub my heels after a full day of wear. But it was well worth it. They are so cool and overall quite comfortable. The dress is an oldie but a goodie. It is a collared shirt dress with polka dots that I love wearing year round. When it gets cooler, a pair of tights and a cardigan can take this dress from summer to fall to winter.

Shirt | Bershka

Shoes | Bronx
This could very well be my favorite outfits in this blog post. I wanted to wear my new leopard print shirt from Bershka and new I had to pair it with a skirt. At first I thought black, but then I threw it on with my bordeaux corduroy skirt and I knew that was a perfect combo. To keep the outfit from becoming too crazy, I added a thin black cardigan and a pair of burgundy brogues.

Shoes | Dr. Marten’s
Truth be told, these red jeans were quite intimidating to me. But I wanted to push myself to wear this and take on the challenge of styling this up. Because the jeans are so bright I felt it quite difficult to decide what to wear with it. So I opted for a striped top, a black belt and a pair of black patent leather oxfords. In short, everything else is very simple and straightforward and I think that puts the jeans center stage. Fun fact: I wore this the day it rained buckets and I got soaked to the bone. Bad decision wearing this as these jeans are quite thick and got weighed down and super heavy and took hours to dry.

So these shoes are definitely having a moment in my outfit choices. I wore them and was reminded of how comfortable these are. I had not worn them for such a long time, but now that it is fall, I remember how perfect they are for this time of year. The dress is another item I have had for years. It didn’t fit for a long while, so I was happy to see it fit again. It has a fun poppy print and a very retro style, which is why I love it.

This final outfit is all about texture. I wore a velvet skirt, a knit cardigan, a ribbed top and patent faux leather shoes. And it works. This cardigan is one of my all time favorites. I bust it out every year and wear it loads. If there is one work horse in my wardrobe it is this. The top is cropped which means it was very comfy as the crop of the top and point where the skirt sits in my waist perfectly lines up. The tights I am wearing here are new, I decided to buy some 15 denier tights from Hema and I am loving them.
