Top 10 Inspiring Color Stories

top 10 inspiring color stories

We’re in for the home stretch! We only have a few more videos to go in my August eyeshadow palette month. Today’s video is all about inspiring color stories. Where eyeshadow palettes never used to have much rhyme or reason to the overall color scheme, in recent years, a palette now needs to have a ‘color story’. This means there is a theme or certain colors that are put together for some reason or another. And sometimes those color stories can make you scratch your head and make you go: huh, how am I going to be using you? In my experience those make for the best eyeshadow palettes though. These are my top 10 favorite inspiring color stories.

  1. AHH the two palettes I really want are discontinued! Seems to be the case for me lately, LOL! Of those you featured here, I really love ABH “Subculture” (which is now unavailable) and of course Melt “Muerte”. (LE) I had a chance to get Subculture, but wasn’t sure at the time. I got “Sultry” instead and it’s nice, but really too flashy for regular days. Of the palettes I DO have, I like the “Just My Luck” color story the best. There are some great greens in it that I can’t wait to play with. Colourpop had a good idea with all of those palettes and their color stories: a clear theme, a cute name and a lot of colors that support the themes. I also got “Mint to Be” and “Lilac You A Lot”. Now that you show “Smoke Show (aka Blowin’ Smoke)” I’m considering that as well. Not sure when I’ll make another make up purchase next, though.
