Can Catrice do a good brow product? They sure can! But they change them up all the time and so it can be difficult to tell what is actually good. In their spring collection, they released the Super Glue brow gel and Brow Powder Set. Are these any good?

Of these two products I have used the Super Glue Brow Styling Gel the most. That is currently in my Shop My Stash. The Brow Powder Set is a nice product as well, but I prefer a brow pencil, but I did try the product just to give it a whirl.
Review: Catrice Super Glue Brow Styling Gel & Catrice Brow Powder Set 010 Ash Blonde
Let’s kick things off with how much these cost. Catrice being a drugstore brand, these are some affordable products. The gel retails for €4.69. The brow powder retails for €3.99. With Catrice it can be difficult to find their newest releases depening on where you live. So check your local Catrice retailer to find out whether they do this product in your country.
Catrice Super Glue Brow Styling Gel

The product I have used the most? The Super Glue gel. This transparent gel promises incredible hold, while giving your brows that laminated look.
I generally like transparent brow gels, but I don’t like the clear packaging. After a few uses your brow gel looks yucky. Another downside to this: it is difficult to remove from the brows (it gives that ‘cripsy’ feel) and it is getting thicker every time I use it.
Truth be told, do I feel you need this in your life? No. I think if you were to buy a pot of regular clear hair gel and use that with this spoolie, you’d get the same effect. You can get a full tub for half the price of this gel.
The best part about this product? The small spoolie. It’s the brush that makes this feel and look great. It fits my brows, is great for pushing your brow hairs into place and it makes light work of getting your brows look their best.
Catrice Brow Powder Set in 010 Ash Blonde

Whenever Catrice do a new brow powder, I need to ask myself: will it be as good as the OG? This brow powder set came with a mirror, a set of tweezers and a brush and it was one of my favorite brow products for years until I discovered brow pencils.
For this rendition, Catrice have done away with the bulky packaging and we just get the powders and a little brush. The brush is actually good, which is great. It has enough give to work but also enough stiffness to be able to mimick brow hairs.

In a swatch these powders look a bit patchy but they are brow powders, not shadows. Typically brow powders are sheerer and drier in texture than a regular eyeshadow. But if you were to use a brow powder, shadows can work just as well.
The shade is was got me back in 2014 and again now. This is simply a great match for my brow color. The darker shade works great for adding definition, while the lighter shade is the perfect taupe shade to mimick brow hairs and fill in the brows.
How does the products perform?

In terms of performance, I have no issues with both of these. There is a reason why I swear by drugstore brow products: they simply beat higher end for me and both of these products have that same great quality.
Personally I wouldn’t go out to repurchase them. I prefer brow pencils by now (so much quicker to use!) and the gel is nice but has too many cons for me to repurchase it. My Essence Make Me Brow is not beaten when it comes to favorite brow product just yet.
Should you buy the Catrice Super Glue brow gel & Brow Powder set?

Both products are very solid launches that will definitely work for you. The powder set comes in a darker shade as well, has a perfect cool undertone and has a great shade that can be used together or as is.
The brow styling gel perfectly defines the brows and because it is clear, it will work for everyone. Both products are cheap and cheerful and will get you that trending laminated brow look for less.
These are good brow products at the drugstore that I enjoy using but for reasons mentioned above I will not be repurchasing these when I am done with them.
