Homeoplasmine review

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I like to hop over to Paris once or twice a year. And my favorite thing to do is to visit the French pharmacy and stock up on some great yet affordable skincare. One thing I picked up on such a trip: Homeoplasmine. And today I will be explaing to you why I love it.

I want to preface this review by saying that I am not a doctor or dermatologist. I bought this off the recommendation of Dr. Shereene Idriss on Youtube. She talks about it at 11:39 in the video I have linked. I am just talking about my experience using this today.

Skincare review: Homeoplasmine

Let’s kick things off with some basic facts. This is an affordable product. It comes in two sizes and this is the bigger size and it retails for under €9.99. And it is one of those ‘can do it all’ products. From what I can tell, it seems to be one of those standard home remedy staples that you are likely to find in any French home. It is based off of homeopathic principles and says it is formulated for irritated skin.

What does this product have to offer?

And this is why I became intrigued. On the packaging it says you can use this if for instance you’ve been gardening and you get red bumps from nettles. So it sounded to me like it is really meant for those moments where you have a red bump or an itch somewhere on your skin and that’s how I have been using it.

In the video, it is explained that you can also use this for slugging and on the under eye or if your skin is red from allergies. I haven’t tried it for that yet, but I have been been using it for some itchiness in my ears (don’t ask, it has to do with my hayfever) and other itchiness on other parts of my body.

Why I love Homeoplasmine

What’s been a gamechanger for me is the fact that this stuff works better for me than what my doctor prescribed me. I have had medication for my ears before and it’s never helped. Ever since I use this I only have to use it once every two weeks and my ears are a lot less itchy than they were before.

The reason? The fact that this is thick (it has a vaseline base) and therefore it stays put very well when you put it on. Additionally whatever is in this stuff is really great at toning down bumps and itchiness from an allergic reaction. Because I have dry skin, most creams just disappear into nothing, but this actually sits on the skin long enough for it to do something.

Should you buy Homeoplasmine?

I am not sure how readily available this is outside of France. Maybe there are alternatives on the market in different territories, but I personally don’t have that information. If you are planning a trip to France, this may be worth picking up. Not only is it affordable but I have found it to be greatly effective as well for some basic, run of the mill minor itches and rashes.

Have you ever tried Homeoplasmine before?

  1. Thankyou very much for this post. My partner suffers from hay-fever and the skin on and around his nose gets very itchy. He’s realised the two are related but, like you, prescription medication and regular moisturising creams have no effect. Turns out homeoplasmine is available here in the UK, I will definitely be buying a tube!
