Did you know that K-beauty products also comes at different price points? Many brands are affordable and more like a drugstore brand. While some have a higher price point and are a bit more luxurious. One such brand is Clio. Their Prism Air highligther is a stunner of a product, but a tad pricey for what it is.

That said, K-beauty is good at doing a bit of shine. The Saem Prism Light highlighter is one of my favorites and I love how they have something different to offer in terms of texturse and shades. Let’s see what this Clio number has to offer.
Review: Clio Prism Air highlighter #02 Fairy Pink
Price point wise this one didn’t make me overly happy. At €21.90, this is quite up there when looking into K-beauty. Many of the best products can retail for under €15 and this is just a bit more than that. And while this is a stunning highlighter, it just didn’t end up being unique enough in my collection to keep it around.
As you all know by now, I buy my K-beauty products on Yesstyle as it is easiest for me to shop through there. I by now have an affiliate code with them, which you can find at the bottom of the blog post.
What does this highlighter have to offer?

To my surprise this is now listed as no longer being available. That is sad, because this highlighter definitely is something else. It has a cream to powder formula that very much reminds me of the Nabla Skin Glazing highlighters.
It has enough shine but also some visible shimmer particles that don’t really translate to the skin. So you this won’t make you look like a discoball. The shade Fairy Pink has a warm champagne base with a golden pink reflect.
What does this highlighter swatch like?

You can see here how beautiful this is on the skin. It has a luminosity to it that looks great in a full on finger swatch. On the cheeks? It was a lot less impactful. Now you know me I love my highlighters in a variety of textures and finishes so I don’t mind it if it is not that full on glam, kapow kind of highlight. But with this I felt it kind of disappeared too quickly.
What does this look like on the skin?

As beautiful as it looks in a full on swatch, that’s how subtle this is once applied ot the skin. Maybe when applied with fingers this could be more impactful, but since this blends like a powder I don’t think it would look too good. This would have been more successful for me if it has been a true cream highlighter. Imagine this as a cushion product! That would be stunning.
Should you buy the Clio Prism Air highlighter?

The answer is no, because you can no longer get this, but I would still not recommend this even if it was. Combine the sheer formula with the fact that this exact shade of highlighter is around in other brands and it not nearly as unique as you may think.
That’s actually why I decluttered this one in the end. I didn’t want to but it was soooo similar to so many other highlighters I already owned before this that I just couldn’t justify keeping it around.
If you like this shade and you are looking for alternatives, then MAC’s Show Gold and Melt Cosmetics Stargazer are great alternatives that have more impact. Don’t believe? Or you want more alternatives? I swatched all my highlighters and compared them in my highlighter collection earlier this year.
