Shoplog: H&M, The Body Shop, Amazon & Vila

The past couple of weeks I got a couple of trinkets and I thought I’d share. So it’s time for another blog on my most recent purchases. It isn’t anything too crazy, but still worth sharing methinks. It’s a mixture of clothes, accessories, some cosmetics (no make up though!) and a few CDs. Here it goes:

Yes, I still buy CDs. Why? Because I think it’s important to support the artists I enjoy listening to and because I love being able to browse through artwork and have an actual reference.

Top row: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 – Original Soundtrack, The Kills – Blood Pressures, Marcus Foster – Nameless Path.

Bottom row: Bobby Long – A Winter Tale, Laura Marling – Alas I Cannot Swim, Florence + the Machine – Ceremonials (Deluxe Edition)

Earrings (H&M)

I bought these earrings at H&M at two separate occasions. My hair is getting longer so when I’m wearing it down it is actually starting to look nice to wear these bigger dangling earrings. I’m totally in love with the ones on the right. They are perfect for the festive season!

F.l.t.r.: H&M Sandalwood hand cream; The Body Shop Aloe Vera Toner, Spiced Vanilla Shower Gel & White Musk Libertine Shower Gel

The H&M hand cream smells delicious, but I have yet to use it, so I don’t know yet whether I’ll like it. I have no experience with H&M cosmetics, so I’m curious to try this. TBS products are staples in shower/ cosmetics stash. I had to restock my supply of Aloe Vera toner so when I found these two newly released shower gels I couldn’t pass up on them. White Musk Libertine smells so good that I’m actually tempted to buy the accompanying perfume too.

Tied white t-shirt w/ silver star pattern (H&M – divided)

detail on the shirt

Isn’t this the cutest shirt ever? I think it is clean and simple yet the stars add some nice details that make it perfect for Christmasy outfits. I also think (but am not sure) that this is part of H&M’s Christmas collection.

Black highwaisted, imitation leather shorts (H&M – divided)

I finally found a pair! These sold out so quickly on the website, so when I found them in the store I couldn’t pass up on them. They are comfy and can make any look edgy. Me likes. And then last, but not least: la piece de resistance:

Grey/ silver sequined tunic dress (VILA)

Sequins!

I was totally loving all the sequined and shiny outfits that have been hitting stores lately because of Christmas coming up. Only problem: most sequin tops and dresses are these skintight bodycon pieces that make me look like a sparkly roll rather than classy, festive and sophisticated. Also, I like sequins, but since I’d hate to be more sparkly than most people’s Christmas decorations I would want something a bit more subtle.

Lo, and behold: my newest dress. It’s not skin tight and it’s sparkly, but as you can see on the detailed picture, not all the fabric is covered in sequins making it much more subtle. Another cool fact: it is NOT shedding sequins like crazy all over the place. I think this would look great with those nude heels I bought the other week, or with some black leggings and those black booties.

The dress is definitely my favorite item of the entire haul. What’s yours?
