As you may know I was in Berlin for a few days last week and I will write a post about that some time this week. Right now, as a way to get back into the swing of things, I decided to break my 5 days of radio silence by showing you a few things I picked up while I was there. First of all, apologies for my lack of updates, but I was simply too busy, too anxious, or too tired to be bothered to write anything. As I will shortly be able to pick up my regular routine, I expect to be able to write updates at a regular, daily schedule again.
I didn’t buy much while I was in Berlin as I didn’t have much time, but I think it’s worthwhile to share nonetheless. I got some perfume, some clothes, housewear and some make up.
Perfume: Love, Chloé
The first item I bought isn’t from Berlin, but I purchased it when I was at Schiphol airport waiting for my plane to leave at 6.30 AM. This perfume had been on my wishlist for a while. I love it’s powdery smell. It’s very classy and girly.
Wine red bow hair clip (American Apparel)
Another very girly item: a hair clip with a bow. I love the satin finish of the fabric and it looks great with my blonde hair.
Ceramic on-the-go tea mug with silicone lid & sleeve (Urban Outfitters)
At my previous job I would always have my tea from a trusty thermo cup from Starbucks. However, after 3 years of service the mug had started to get extremely yucky and so I thought: new job = new mug. I tried looking for one at Starbucks in the States, but they didn’t have any fun ones. Until I saw this one. It’s especially for tea (you can wrap the string from the bag around the little tea pot) and since it’s ceramic I hope it will be easier to clean than plastic.
Black & cream heavy knit sweater (Urban Outfitters)
Fall is nearing and I just love snuggling up wearing a thick woolen sweater during the wet and cold months that are about to come. I already bought quite a few last year, but when I saw this one I couldn’t leave it. I love how the sleeves have a different knit pattern and the fact that is on the slouchy side.
Black & white, mustard, wine & blue colored knit cardigan (Urban Outfitters)
My love for bulky knit sweaters is matched by my love for heavy knit cardigans. Again, this is slouchy one. I love the geometric print and it’s insanely comfortable. Here’s a close up of the pattern:
P2 cuticle cream and eyeshadow
My first day in Berlin I was a bit early and so I set out to explore. I knew I wanted to go to DM (a German drugstore) as they exclusively sell P2. I wasn’t very impressed with the stuff on offer, but I did manage to find a cuticle cream and two gorgeous eyeshadows. The lilac one is just mesmerizing and the baked duo color one has some great pay off as well. Here are some swatches:
P2 swatches
As you can see, I didn’t buy a whole lot, but still some fun bits and bobs. I hope you enjoy your day and if I’m not too tired after my first real day at my new job I can assure you there will be another post up tomorrow.
Take care!

Love the Black & cream heavy knit sweater 🙂
Thank you. That seems to be everyone’s favorite.
I do love getting a new perfume, I kinda wish there was a way to “swatch” perfume on blogs lol.
Ooooh I know. They should invent computers that omit smells! But only good ones.
Hmmm yes, only good ones. Can only imagine what (horrible) stuff people would start doing if you could smell through them. :\
Lolz remember those videos where something creepy would suddenly happen after seconds of looking at an empty room? Imagine that with some nasty smell :S
That’s exactly what I was thinking! lol…. FREE-KAY!
You know what they say… great minds…

Do you still have the Ceramic on-the-go tea mug with silicone lid & sleeve?
Yes I do. I use it at home when I take a cup with me to bed.
