By now it will be clear that deep red colors are the IT colors of the season. Burgundy, wine red, ox blood: the darker the better it seems. I already showed you a pair of burgundy bottoms a few weeks ago. Click here to see that outfit. Last year on a trip to London, I purchased not one, but two great items in a deep burgundy color: a cardigan from Urban Outfitters and a pair of Doc Marten’s 1460 in Cherry Red. I love wearing them together and often pair them with my trusty pair of black skinnies and a black simple t-shirt.
What I’m wearing:
– Red & purple threat knit cardigan (Urban Outfitters)
– Black skinny jeans (ONLY)
– Doc Marten’s 1460 in Cherry Red (Doc Marten Store in Covent Garden, London)
– Black t-shirt (H&M)
– Spiked layered necklace (Topshop)
I love the length of this cardigan. It’s not super duper warm, but it’s still cozy. A big plus is that it has pockets. The rest of the outfit is very simple. One thing that makes this cardigan slightly different is that the knit isn’t just red, but also has hints of purple.
What dark red/ burgundy items do you keep in your closet?
