Summer lovin’ tag

It’s summer! So this is the right time to fill out the Summer Lovin’ Tag. This isn’t a very new tag, but I thought it would still be fun to do it. Here it goes!

Some summery items I’m loving

1. Summer lipstick you’re loving?

I don’t have just one lipstick I’m loving atm, there’s 3. One of my favorite lipsticks for summer has to be MAC’s Impassioned. This Amplified lipstick is the best bright fuchsia I’ve ever seen. You can also tell by how the tip has worn off that I love this one. Then there are two recent favorites. I bought a few new MAC lipsticks and Flat Out Fabulous was one. I absolutely love the pinky/ purple. Also new to me are the Milani MATTallics. Metallic lips? Not for me I thought, until I tried these.

2. Summer nail polish you’re loving?

My favorite nail polish for summer has to be a bright, electric blue. I love how it looks against my skin. Nothing says summer to me than a bright blue. Corals however are also perfect for summer. And one of my favorites is Cute as a Button. Not a full on coral, but definitely more of a pinky coral, this shade is one that I reach for often as it looks very bright and playful. My last favorite is my latest summer polish addition. Viva Antigua! is from this year’s Essie summer collection and a great turquoise green with a hint of sparkle.

3. Bikini you’re loving this summer?

H&M black & white stripe bikini

This H&M bikini has to be one of my favorites. I bought this last year, but H&M does this type of bikini but in different prints every year. The best part about it is that you can buy separate so if you’re like me and a bigger size on top than you are at the bottom, then this is for you. The top pretty much works like a bra as the cups are fully padded and lined. The straps can be taken off, turned into a halter or worn as is. At times, H&M even does some high waisted bikini bottoms. And there you have it: the perfect bikini.

4. Favourite summer Frappuccino from Starbucks?

Currently I’m not really into frappuccinos anymore. Since this summer Starbucks is now selling iced teas and iced tea lemonades and I absolutely love those! I used to get them when in the US and it’s been a long time till be got them too. I’ve been loving a green iced tea lemonade without added sweeteners myself.

5. Favourite fake tan?

L’Oreal Sublime Bronze lotion

How about none? That answer would be very unsatisfactory, but truth be told I am not much of a fake bake kind of girl. I do however struggle with super pale legs. So does my mom and she just started using this. Plus I also have a friend who loves this. So this stuff has to be good not? It was on sale not too long ago and so I bought some, now all I have to do is work up the nerve to use it.

6. Favourite summer song?

Too many to name! I never have just one favorite song, there is simply too much great music out there. Luckily for you I did a full post with 10 of my favorite happy summer songs. It just wouldn’t be summer without these. Click here to see that post.

7. Favourite summer accessory?

H&M Cat eye sunglasses

That would have to be my current favorite pair of sunglasses. These are so easy to chuck on and head out the door. They’ve also been really good at protecting my eyes as they are nice and big without being too oversized. Plus the fact that they are H&M and thus super affordable is a nice addition.

8. Favourite summer fragrance/perfume?

Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume

Let’s start of my saying that this may be a super cliche, but it is the truth. My favorite summer perfume is Marc Jacobs Daisy. I’ve had this for quite some time and it only ever comes out to play during the warmer months. So yep, even though this is an answer almost everyone would give you, this is indeed my favorite summer fragrance.

9. Summer book you’re loving?

Rick Riordan – Percy Jackson and the Greek Heroes

As much as I’d love to say: loads. I haven’t been reading much. I have a hit a major reading slump and am barely reading at the moment. I started this book to try and get back into the swing of things, but alas! I blame being home more. I usually get distracted by blogging, music, youtube and Netflix, which leaves little room for reading. I’m sure to finish a few books during my vacation, but I’m definitely behind on my Goodreads reading challenge goal.

10. What are you most excited to do this summer?

This summer is a fun one! Where last year I did some major traveling, I decided to do just a bit of that and just do different activities with friends and family this year instead. I hope my highlight will be my short trip to Budapest though. I’ve heard great things about the city and am looking forward to going there.
