Current beauty favorites

I noticed that the last time I had done any kind of favorites blog post was quite some months ago. So high time to go over some of my favorite products again. This time round, I have all beauty favorites for you, because I’ve been loving my beauty products lately. I’ve been trying loads of new things and rediscovering some old favorites.

10 of my current beauty favorites

The products featured are mainly make up products, but I’ve also been loving some haircare, skincare and bodycare items. I don’t know about you, but I find myself trying new products, but then when I use something up and use one of my old favorites and I fall right back in love with them. That’s what happened this time. But there are quite some new products here as well. Here we go!

Lush Shampoo Bars

Lately I’ve been loving Lush’ shampoo bars. I reviewed their Squeaky Green shampoo bar a few years ago and hadn’t tried any since. But I had a rose & argon oil lying about and after the Inecto shampoo fiasco a few months ago, I was left with one gigantic bottle of conditioner but no shampoo to match. So I tried the shampoo bar I still had and I was hooked. I ran out of it last weekend and decided to get a back up. Meet Seanik shampoo bar.

LA Girl Pro Conceal Concealer

You may have already spotted this product up on the blog last week. I love, love, love this concealer. It’s been all that I have been using lately and that is telling as I have a lot of concealers and try many of them. So for me to stick to one single product for longer than a week is quite unique.

L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion foundation

To pair with that concealer, I’ve been using a very lightweight foundation. I thought it was a touch too pale for me over summer, but now it is a perfect match. I do need quite a bit of product to get the type of coverage I want, but still it’s a great product. I just add 2 layers and use the concealer to conceal the rest.

Sigma F50 Duo Fibre brush

I also have a favorite brush this time round. I don’t normally rave about brushes, but I have been loving this one. I never had much use it for it as it sheds quite badly. However, what I’ve been using this for is bronzer. Even the craziest bronzer becomes wearable because of this brush, which is a plus as I am so pale. It’s light and whispy and makes for a great natural finish.

Stila Eyes are the Window of the Spirit

For eyeshadow I have been going back and forth between many different palettes. But the other day I pulled out my Stila palette again and remembered why I love it. This palette doesn’t get enough love I find. To me, it is everything I need to create so many different neutral looks. There is a variety of finishes and cool and warm tones all in one palette that just work.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder Radiant Light
Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil bronzer

Bronzer and contour has been mainly these two products. As you can see these are well loved and I don’t think I ever featured this combo on the blog. But this is what I wear most of the time. Despite owning many different bronzers these are the two I keep coming back to. The Hourglass product I use all over to add some color to my face and the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil works well as a contour.

Miss Dior Cherie Perfume

Lately all I’ve been wearing perfume wise is this golden oldie in my make up collection: Miss Dior Cherie. This was one of the first expensive perfumes I ever bought, which means I’ve had this for year. I tend to switch around my perfumes depending on the season and where I usually go for Chloé Love Chloé during fall, I found myself going for this one instead.

De Tuinen Oogserum

I sadly ran out of one of my favorite eye creams: Kiehl’s Avocado eye cream. But this meant I could go back to one of my all time favorite eye care products. This eye serum is thin and lightweight, yet super nourishing. Plus it’s affordable. I remember buying this on sale for around €5. Not bad for an eye cream!

Toni & Guy Sea Salt Texturizing Spray

Sea Salt spray has been one of my favorite haircare products all year. After my hairdresser suggested I use it to add some texture to my hair, I fell in love. I tried several before settling on this one. I go through it quite quickly as I use it liberally all over my hair, but it’s one of those products that I feel makes all the difference in my haircare routine.

The Body Shop Christmas LE

This year’s The Body Shop Christmas scents are killing it. They brought out an apple scent that I actually like and they brought back the vanilla scent! The only scent I feel a bit on the fence about is the Frosted Berries one. It’s nice, but it’s not mindblowing.

What are your current beauty favorites?

  2. I want to try that LA Girl Concealer – everyone raves about it. I’m unsure what my shade would be though – they have such a wide selection.
    That Stila palette looks stunning!
