A few weeks ago I already showed you the new products that Catrice released for their spring/ summer 2017 overhaul. Today it’s Essence’s turn. Essence is my lesser favorite budget brand, but I found the new products in my local drugstore and couldn’t help but be intrigued by a few of them. So I picked some up and I’m showing you them in this video. And not only that, I will also be using as many as I can on my face in a make up look straight away.
New Essence bits I got
(as well as some new Rimmel lipsticks off to the right)
I didn’t have all the names or price points at the ready while filming, so you can find a full list of the new Essence products and what they cost in the product list below the video. My favorite products have to be the My Must Haves eyeshadow palette and the Luminous Matt bronzer, but most of these products worked out well for me. There was only one true dud in this bunch. Curious to find out what it was? Then please watch the video!

- Essence Camouflage full coverage concealer 05 Ivory (€2.59)
- Essence Luminous Matt bronzing powder for lighter skin 01 Sunshine (€2.99)

- Essence Glitter in the Air Strobing Blush & Highlighter 01 When in Doubt Add Glitter (€3.39)

Full Face
The finished cheek look
The finished eye look
To create the eye look, I first dusted the matte cream shade of the Eye & Face palette all over my lid. Then I went into the crease with Mauvie-Time. I blended out the crease with the light taupe shade from the Eye & Face palette and applied the matte cream shade again, but this time with a denser brush and on my brow bone.
The pretty coral shade went all over the lid and it loses quite a bit of its punch and sparkle that it has when you swatch it. This is definitely one to reapply with a finger, yet my camera barely picked up on the sparkle this has when taking pictures. Miss Foxy Brown and the matte dark brown went onto the lower lash line and Black as Berry rounded off the look in the Outer V and Apricotta in the inner corners.
The colors were easy to build up but these do require some work to get them to work well. However, for the price, that isn’t too bad.
What do you think of these Essence products?
And which products would you like me to do a full review on?
