Music of the Month // Best albums of 2019 (so far)

Music of the Month // Best albums of 2019 (so far)

Today I am doing something differently. For months I have been struggling with posting content on the the Fridays that made sense. I always had it saved for fashion posts, but as my tastes have changed I felt less and less inspired and so I started filling it with more beauty content. That also didn’t feel right. So I had a bit of a brainstorm and have decided to dub Fridays: Free for all Fridays. This means that this is the day in the week where I will not post beauty content or a video, but do something a bit differently. And I thought, what better way to change things up than to bring back my oldest passion to the blog: music!

Music ABC 2.0

Music ABC 2.0

Since October was one of the worst months for reading again this year, I figured than instead of a post about books, I could share some music with you again. The other week I finally went through my playlists and added tons of new songs, which inspired me to create a new Music ABC playlist. I made one a few years ago, but that was more than 2 years ago and was a playlist I made based on my all time favorite songs mostly. But I figured I could also share a playlist with some of my more recent favorites and some more all time favorites thrown in the mix. So that’s what this is, I hope you enjoy!

R&B tunes that melt my heart

R&B tunes that melt my heart

It’s been ages since I last posted a blog on music, but my love for music has never wavered. I have just felt greatly uninspired by what’s out there. I am still trying to find new music, but pickings are scarce and it feels like I have heard everything before. Which is why, recently, I have been going over some old favorites. And today I figured I could inform you of some of my favorite R&B tracks. A style of music I have not written much about, so it was about time I changed that. Here are 10 of my favorite R&B tracks.

Why I stopped using Spotify

Why I stopped using Spotify

A few weeks ago I posted a message on Facebook: please help me find new music. I live for new music and by new I mean stuff I have never heard before, that are not mainstream and more out of the box. I am that person who knows the bands in the tiny print on the festival announcements. Or as my friend posted: “I listen to bands that don’t even exist yet”. That is something I’ve done for years and when my SD Card crashed last fall, I figured that I would move on to Spotify. Now, 6 months later I’m seriously debating unsubscribing from the service and as of this week I’m back to using an SD card for playing music on the go. why I stopped using Spotify

Music of the Moment | Songs to sing at the top of your lungs

This blog post was inspired by my recent commute. I listen to loads of music on a daily basis and sometimes, I come across song after song that I would love to sing along to no matter how out of tune it might be. Last Friday was one of those days that I had a string of songs coming on that I lipsynched along to all the way home. Here are some of my favorites.

Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes – I had the time of my Life

Music of the Moment | November 2017

Music of the Moment | November 2017

Last day of the month and you know what that means: music favorites! November 2017 will officially be the month I finally switched to Spotify. I will always love my analog and carry along music, but I cannot deny how easy it is to have all the music of the world available to you at just the click of a button. I have been mainly listening to playlists that are premade lately and not too much has been standing out yet. But I managed to select a few songs that I love nevertheless.

Tom Walker – Karma
