Fashion favorites tag

I don’t do a lot of tags. Mainly because I don’t like the majority of them. I came across this one though and thought it would be fun to do. Here are my fashion favorites.

1.) How would you describe your style?

A bit of everything. I can be a jeans + t-shirt kind of girl, but I also love ditsy floral print dresses, shorts, button downs and anything in between. I tend to stick to basic items in different colors and styles. So I have a bunch of plain black skirts, but they are all different cuts. I have 10 different blazers, but they’re all a different color. So I guess I like keeping it simple with a bit of a twist.

2.) Your wardrobe essentials?

Plain black heels, black skirt, cream/ off white button down, flattering dress. Not necessarily a LBD, as a dress that fits well will look as classy as an LBD. Black denim pants, denim jacket, bulky knit scarves.

3.) Most expensive item?

I don’t tend to buy much expensive clothing. I’m guessing my most expensive item are my Doc Marten’s snow boots which cost nearly 200 euros. I like to spend no more than 50 euros on a single item, even shoes. It can be a challenge, but I like scouring to find THE item for little money.

4.) Which item would you most like to add to your wardrobe?

A nude colored strapless bra. So hard to find one that fits right!

5.) Favorite designer?

None. I don’t tend to stick to one brand/ designer and whatever they show on runways is not something I’d want to wear. I just read magazines and watch fashion videos to get some inspiration and just try to see what goes with my style and body type.

6.) How much money do you spend on clothing?

Depends. I guess between 100 – 200 euros. One month I spend more than the other. It also depends on the trends and the season. Winter items tend to be more expensive so I spend more money then, and of course when the trends that are around is something that I like I will also spend more money.

7.) Where do you shop most?

H&M, ZARA, Only/ Vero Moda/ Vila are my favorite stores. I also like Mango, Forever 21, New Yorker and Bershka on occasion, but since these stores are not near me or not always in line with what I like I tend to go there less.

8.) Favorite perfume?

J’Adore by Dior. I just wrote about my perfume collection yesterday!

9.) Favorite hairstyle?

Messy bun or messy loose hair. My hair is quite difficult to tame so it’s messy or nothing at all. I also don’t like myself with a super manicured coif. It’s just not me.

10.) What do you wear when you don’t know what to wear?

Jeans & t-shirt: easy to put on and easy to combine.

11.) Which fashion trend is here to stay? And which one should go away?

High/low skirts. I love how they show a bit of leg, but still cover your bum in the back. The trend that can disappear is the metallic look. I always end up looking like a make-shift discoball.

12.) Item with the most sentimental value?

My combat boots. I’ve had them for more than 10 years and they have been with me everywhere! From cities around the world, to concerts, parties and just every day things. I used to wear them every single day for 3 years straight so even though they are definitely not my thing anymore, I am still keeping them around.
