Shop my stash | March 2018

It’s the beginning of the month and that means that I’m showing you the makeup I used in the previous month. I know most people do a shop my stash at the beginning of the month to show what makeup they hope to use. But I’m fickle in my makeup choices: I decide the night before what I want to wear the next day. I go with my gut, decide on my mood what eye look I do. I just never know what I will be wearing, so I like doing these in hindsight. Here is what I chose to wear on my face in February.

Shop My Stash | March 2018

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray & ELF Hydrating Primer – Let’s go over these quickly, because yes, I’m still using these. I haven’t felt the need to switch them out yet as these just work. Nuff said.

Catrice Illuminating Blush – I was obsessed with a neutral, but glowy cheek last month. I’m guessing I just wanted it to be spring. This Catrice blush is a great one and one of my favorites in my stash.

Benefit Dandelion Twinkle – Another regular in my shop my stash blog posts is this highlighter. It is natural, it’s subtle and thus perfect for everyday.

Soap & Glory Solar Power bronzer – This bronzer was a favorite last year and it is again. This is one of those product I gave a rest for a few months. But I love the tone of this on my current skin tone.

Wet N Wild Photofocus foundation – I reviewed this foundation just the other week and it was my go to foundation all month. At first I was a bit unsure what to use and then I noticed how this shade might be a pretty good match in the winter time and it was!

Maybelline Fit Me concealer – A product I had to desperately use up was this concealer. I opened it and remembered how long I had this for. Since there was only a little left, I used it consistently for a few weeks until it was gone completely. I’m glad to have a backup of this.

Bobbi Brown pressed powder & Bobbie Brown corrector – AAAAND two other regulars in this shop my stash get up. The powder now has a nice dent in it, but I am no where near close to hitting pan. The corrector now does show some pan, but I think I still have enough product to last a few more months.

MAC Paintpot & TBS eyeshadow – Combo number three that is a regular feature. This is still my favorite way for applying a nice even layer of color to cancel out my lid color and make shadows pop. Both are seeing great progress. The TBS eyeshadow is nearly gone now as well.

Catrice Professional eyeshadow palette – The one product that was out of stock when I did my Catrice video? This eyeshadow palette. I have had it for a few weeks now and will be posting the review of it later this week.

Milani eyeshadow primer – This primer is still a great one, but I am noticing something over other primers I have used. Compared to other, high end primers that I have tried, this one seems to be running out much quicker. I’ve only been using this for a few months, but it’s already halfway gone.

L’Oreal Brow Artist brow gel – Not my favorite brow gel of all time, but still a good one that I like enough to keep using.

Soap & Glory Archery brow pencil – After using up my NYX brow pencil, I reverted back to an old favorite. This pencil was my first brow love and I still love it.

L’Oreal Paradise Extatic & Maybelline Classic Volume mascara – My favorite mascara combo of the past couple of months. And I am sad to see my L’Oreal mascara come to its end. Luckily I have some backups so I shouldn’t be without this for very long.

Catrice Ultimate Matte lipstick – I felt a bit lukewarm towards the Catrice Ultimate Matt lipsticks when I first tried them. But this month I have been obsessed with one of the shades: From Rose With Love. If there is one lipstick I kept reaching for, it was this one if I wanted to go for a basic, everyday color.

NARS Audacious lipstick – But this month I have also been wearing some lipsticks out of my usual daily shades. I had a thing for dark reds all month. I pulled out MAC’s Sin, Maybelline’s Burgundy Blush, but mostly I reached for this NARS lipstick in Bette.

Milani Matte Moisture lipstick – However, there was a third color I rocked last month: a bright, fuchsia pink. I just wanted it to be spring and so I opted for a bright pink on sunny days.

What makeup did you wear this month?

  1. It feels good to work through makeup products and seeing a noticeable dent, doesn’t it! I’m hoping to hit pan on my MAC Groundwork Paint Pot one of these days – I’m in so deep now, it makes me feel proud for some reason.
