Time to show you some food pictures! This is an overview of most of my summer time foods. There aren’t as many pictures as usual, as I also showed you a full week in food when I did a short stint of low carb and sugar free eating in August. You can see those meals here. But for now I will show you some other meals I had.

What’s not to love about peanut butter? I think it is hands down one of my favorite foods and I always make sure to keep a jar in my cupboards. I’ve branched out in the past and tried other nut butters, almond butter being a particular favorite, but nothing holds a candle to a generous dollop of peanut butter.
Why I love peanut butter
So a few weeks ago I told you I was going low carb and sugar free as much as possible for 2 weeks. And I thought that it would be a good opportunity to show you what I then eat. So I took pictures here and there throughout the week to show you what my meals looked like and how I ventured in my second and final week of doing this. What I eat in a week
Well for 2 weeks that is. These past few weeks, because life just got super busy, I wasn’t all that much into healthy eating. Add on numerous outings, birthdays and other occasions that warrant yummy food of the not so healthy variety and I got to a point where I felt bloated and tired again. Which means it’s time for a change! To kickstart that I decided to take my 2 week summer tenure as a good way to get back into the swing of things.
Going low carb and sugar free for two weeks
Are you a coffee drinker? I wasn’t until very recently. I never really liked the taste and a few times after trying it for the first time, I even felt a bit sick afterwards. Needless to say, coffee was never my favorite, I rather stuck to tea instead. But in past year or so I started drinking more coffee. What changed and why do I enjoy a cup of joe every once in a while?
Why I started drinking coffee
You know those foods that you always make sure you keep around? Yup, you know the ones, those I would consider my food staples. They are foods I will replace the minute they run out and ideally, I’d make sure I keep a few backups as well just in case. From fruits and vegs to some grains and other products that I can’t live without: these are my food staples.
One of my favorite ingredients to chuck into a salad? Smoked salmon. It is just a great way to add some protein to a meal and to add lots and lots of flavor. Today I’m talking you through some of my favorite combinations.
