Me one sunny Easter weekend: let’s see if I can find a great white tee as I decluttered mine. And then this happened. Whoopsie! But there are so many great t-shirts and tops out there right now! I also decluttered lots of my tops and t-shirts as I find they typically last 1 or 2 years before they become old and tatty looking. Which is why I felt my wardrobe could use a bit of sprucing up and since fashion is all about great tops at the moment, I decided it was better to go big or go home.
The (almost) printed top haul
I’ve really been trying to be more diligent about my eating patterns again. After having dabbled in low carbing, and going completely wheat free, things improved greatly and I found that I could eat anything I want again without too much discomfort. But that did mean that I went a little overboard. So late last summer I decided I needed a complete overhaul. I started working our more again and I made a point of eating food I love, while cooking regular meals and having the occasional treat as well. That’s why I thought it would be good to show you what I roughly buy on a weekly basis when I get my groceries. I hope you enjoy!
A recent food shop
In the past few weeks I’ve bought a few tidbits to update my wardrobe for spring. I didn’t get too many items, but I thought I’d show you these nonetheless. To make the video a bit more informative and entertaining, I will be showing a full lookbook with 6 outfits that I have created using the items I am showing you. So if you would like to know how I updated my spring wardrobe and how I style those items, then keep on reading!
Spring haul & lookbook
I have another haul for you! It is the first haul of 2017 and quite possibly one of the last ones. As I mentioned before, 2017 will be the year I am looking to buy a house so that means more saving and less spending. I went on one last blow out shopping session in Amsterdam and went shopping with my mom. In addition, I decided to throw in some random Black Friday deals as well as some other sale and online bits. Hope you enjoy!

I bought some books! Yep just before the end of the year I’ve decided to treat myself to an online book order. I actually completed my 50 book challenge last week and figured I needed to treat myself to celebrate the occasion. Just to make it truly worth your while, I decided to lump in some other books that I bought left and right over the past few months to make it fairly epic. Those books I’m holding in the picture? That’s roughly half of them. So let’s get to it!
While I was on the hunt for cough drops and other items that would help ease my sore throat last Saturday, I decided to stop by HEMA. It is one of my favorite Dutch stores and they have been branching out! There are now HEMA stores in London, so if you find one near you: go check it out. Their beauty department is one I always love checking out and this time, they were having a 25% discount on all beauty items. I decided to pick up a few items I hadn’t seen before yet. And since some of these items are from their limited edition Christmas/ fall make up lines, I figured I’d get it up asap.
A few HEMA make up goodies
Honestly, I hadn’t planned on buying any polish. When seeing these collections being released online, I did not experience my usual: OOOH I NEED THAT IN MY LIFE! moment. Instead, I felt a little lackluster and mwah about it all. And then I saw them in stores. With my own eyes. And then I thought: I NEED THEM ALL! And then you see some more polish that is being sold for cheaper that is near the register and then you fall into that death trap called on the spot marketing. Or maybe I am just a sucker for all things shiny and glittery for nails. Here’s what I got from Essie’s & OPI’s 2015 Christmas collections called Virgin Snow and Starlight respectively.
My newest treasured possesions, aren’t they beauties?
